The Settlers: New Allies - Ubisoft Connect EUROPE Digital Key

The Settlers: New Allies - Ubisoft Connect EUROPE Digital Key

The Settlers for PC is a reboot of the original game from the 1990s. It is a multi-layered building game with strategic real time battles, which returns to the roots of the highly popular series, which consists of 7 main games, several spin-offs, and one online game: but nothing was released between 2010 and 2022. This game captures the best of the game, adding superior animation and graphics. A tried and tested favourite made more immersive and fun! ABOUT THE GAME A group of settlers flee their home island which is under invasion. Arriving on the mainland, they set off on a journey of exploration into a medieval fantasy society as they attempt to find the promised land of their ancestors where they can settle and rebuild their civilisation. You must build settlements, find allies, explore new islands, and fight bandits, with the game’s main emphases being to explore, expand, and conquer. But do it carefully: expand too quickly, your men are easy targets; but if you go too slow, your nearby resources will be snatched up by enemies! The game’s graphics are richly detailed and vibrant, having been reimagined from the ground up. The stunning scenery is diverse, ranging through various biomes: lush green forests or dry arid deserts and featuring pristine territories, completely unexplored, abandoned ruins, or – and this is where your army comes in – other settlements! The different biomes all offer different resources, so it is worth your while to explore thoroughly and expand your borders. As is common with building games, crafting is an important feature. It enables you to bigger and better weapons, and build bigger and better settlements, so you can explore more and find more materials, and so on! There are various types of people in your faction, all vital for your success. Engineers explore and gain new territory, then surveying it to uncover mineral deposits that can be mined. They are quite slow, however, and must be protected as they cannot fight back when they are under attack – so you must send some of your army with them for their own protection. Your army protect the engineers, but must also make sure that the home base – and especially your warehouse – are safe from intruders. As well as engineers and soldiers there are a number of specialist craftsmen who help speed up your construction process; while your villagers fetch and carry as needed. You must build your infrastructure and economy to attract new settlers so you can outfit and train up your army. Activities include mining for raw materials – or stealing them from other settlements (another task for your army!). Building your army is key to your survival, and you can upgrade your troops by conducting military research and boosting support and siege units. Your soldiers are a good mix between up close melee fighters and ranged weapon fighters, allowing you a good amount of control over the way battles play out. THE NITTY GRITTY You can play single player or buddy up with two against two. You can play with a real person or an AI in these co-op games. Multiplayer offers various modes, all for up to eight players at a time. There is a full tutorial in the opening stages, so you know what you’re doing right from the off. Onslaught mode is a new way to play, allowing you to increase the difficulty by removing some of your advantages and boosting your opponents’. Building your settlement couldn’t be easier: click to select the right building from the menu, click again to position it, and then don’t forget to draw roads in between to connect them all up. Some defensive buildings are automatically triggered to protect your village, raining down arrows on unsuspecting enemy armies that are approaching, even if you are focussing elsewhere on the map. Sawmills make logs into planks, quarries turn boulders into bricks, and houses help your villagers to – ahem – produce more villagers! Your main inventory goes into your warehouse which should be central and protected fiercely – if you lose that, the game is pretty much over for you! Other buildings, while useful and a use of resources can come and go without impacting you too much – it is easy enough to rebuild, as long as you have a warehouse! Farms produce grain, windmills grind the grain into flour, and fishing huts and bakeries keep everyone fed and happy. Donkeys are useful as they provide faster transportation – they come from ranches, as do steaks which make your well-fed workers even more productive than fish and bread! WHO ARE YOU? There are three factions to chose between, and each have moderate differences in skill, weapons and the way they look and move. Once you’ve picked a faction, your people all wear the same colour scheme so it is easy to tell who is on who’s side, as well as there being some ethnic differences too: The Elari – vaguely central European they like clothes of blue, brown and white The Maru – of African descent, their striking colour scheme of cy

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ragnarök Edition - Ubisoft Connect EUROPE Digital Key

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ragnarök Edition - Ubisoft Connect EUROPE Digital Key

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for PC is the 12th instalment of the Assassin’s Creed games, and this one takes place in the 9th century (beginning in 873AD) carrying you across Europe as you move your clan from a seriously overcrowded and war torn Norway to England, a green land of peace, prosperity and fertile fields in which to raise your crops. The UK might have a reputation as being a chilly and rainy place, but compared to near arctic desolation, it is not too bad a substiture! It is an open world action adventure game. WHAT TO DO? Siblings Eivor and Sigurd are the leaders of their intrepid band of Vikings and you play as Eivor, who can be male or female, as you choose. Do not worry about your gender, though, as you can change it on the fly, even in the heat of battle if you suddenly fancy a change. If combat is not your thing, there is still plenty to do in the game. Visit the stable to buy horses, pop into the fishing hut before hitting the streams and lakes, and keep your equipment up to date in the hunting hut. There is even an aviary where you can customise your ravens with such details as white flashes on their wings. As an added bonus, your fishing catch or hunting successes can be sold in exchange for various rewards or as in-game currency. Being a Viking, you will, of course, want to keep your access to the sea in good nick, and there is a shipyard where you can repair, maintain, build and replace your longboat. You will be busy at first, learning skills and crafting new items, even as you plant and raise crops, and enjoy occasional battles as raiders try and take what you have got. Establishing a bakery, cattle farm and brewery ensures that you and your clan are all well-fed, while Gunnar, the blacksmith, forges you some quite amazing weapons! The map-maker, or cartographer, is well worth keeping sweet as they can offer you special maps, from time to time, which can point you in profitable raiding directions – well worth the investment of a little friendship and a few gold coins. When you do decide to go on a raid, you can hand-pick your warriors from a handful of presets – all of whom can be customised slightly into a cohesive team. But it is not all battling – you can attend weddings of tribesmen, get far too drink and end up with a terrible and well-deserved hangover after rap battles that your character will be very happy to consign to the dustbin of their memory! DOESN’T SOUND VERY ASSASSIN-ORIENTED? Alongside mere living and survival, there are subplots in which the eternal battle between the Hidden Ones and the Order of Ancients imposes upon you the need to choose a side, usually the former. In between harvests, fishing, hunting and battling, you will find time to slip away, alone, with a companion or even with your entire band, to try and assassinate judiciously, aiming to restore the advantage to the Hidden Ones. You are aided in all your endeavours by three skill trees: Wolf stands for agility Raven means stealth Bear, on the other hand, values brute strength

Tropico 6 - (PC) Steam EUROPE Digital Key

Tropico 6 - (PC) Steam EUROPE Digital Key

Tropico 6 for PC is a construction, management and political simulation game in which the player takes on the persona of El Presidente, the leader of a small tropical island nation. The game is a great one for those who like to people watch, as you can set events into motion and then sit back and watch cause and effect ripple outwards, just tweaking small features as and when they are needed . ABOUT THE GAME Your actions as President have an impact on the behaviour and productivity of the citizens. They can even stage a protest and revolt against your rule if you are deemed to be that bad a ruler! As well as being able to customise the look of your El Presidente – including making her female if you so desire, you can also customise the presential palace. You have to balance economic needs against military might and also factor in happiness and prosperity for the people. It is a delicate balance that makes the game absorbing – and so satisfying when you get it just right! SANDBOX OR CAMPAIGN? You can play both ways in this game, keeping an eye on the citizenry and trying to work out solutions to problems or you can explore widely, doing your own thing and just keeping enough of an eye on the demands of the game to stop full-scale revolution from bringing you down. There is a total of fifteen story missions to play through, but you will have fun whichever way you decide to play: why not mix it up a bit and do both, playing the sandbox in between missions? FREE WILL OF THE CITIZENRY The game has a good balance between opposing desires and needs: each town needs a military base of some kind to keep the nation safe from external threats, but this reduces the individual liberty of each citizen nearby. The absorbing interest in the game comes from finding just the right balance between military might and personal freedom, between communism and industry, between, in short, all the black and white decisions that would tip the balance of power over into unrest or rebellion. BRIDGES OVER THE WATER In other games in the series, the play has been limited to just one island – in this one, it is possible to build bridges (but only in the right time frame, see below for more) to connect small archipelagos together. FOUR ERAS TO PLAY THROUGH The game requires players to lead the nation through several decades, from being a colonial base right through to modern times. Here is a brief run-down of each period of time: The Colonial Era: this is the only timed era – you need to be independent before your governorship end, but you can extend your time by completing missions from the crown. While in this era, it is good to plan for the future by starting off businesses that will grow in time to provide you with a handsome income once you have become independent. Try not to open too many mines now: their resources are finite and will run out if started too soon The Wars Era: while wars rage all around you, this is the time to grow and educate your population, starting up new industries getting a college and high school going. Tunnels and bridges give you access to new lands, and you can expand and industrialise to ensure economic prosperity. Your fledgling nation will grow well: but be wary. It is easy to get overstretched and cause a financial collapse The Cold War Era: ally yourself with either East or West, becoming a friend of either the Axis or the Allies. Whichever one you befriend will install an Embassy on your island, giving you missions and information. You must choose from three options: nuclear, tourism or political as a direction for your nation The Modern Era: in a world populated by five superpowers, your previously chosen path becomes highly important, with hotels springing up for tourists, nuclear power plants for the nuclear option and so on
