Anomaly 2 is a strategy that belongs to the sub-genre known as the Reverse Tower Defense, which means that it combines the features of a dynamic action game and classic RTS. Despite the title, the production is the third installment of the Anomaly series , which was born in 2011 , after Anomaly: Warzone Earth and Anomaly: Korea . Gameplay
The creators made sure that the singleplayer campaign was a challenge even for the most experienced players. Its plot continues the threads started in Warzone Earth . Action Anomaly 2 is set in 2,034 years. Humanity is losing the war with foreign invaders. Survivors travel together in large convoys through the frosty wastelands in search of supplies and food, constantly fearing attack from enemy machinery. They are also trying to reach a tropical climate sustained anomaly in the southern hemisphere to ultimately end the extraterrestrial threat. It is worth noting that depending on the decision made in the last mission, we will see one of the two different endings of the story. The gameplay model in Anomaly 2 has not been affected by any drastic changes, so we continue to command our own unit, trying to cross a given area and complete specific tasks in one piece. However, the producers introduced a number of improvements guaranteeing new tactical possibilities. The most important of them is the option of transforming each combat unit into its other form, endowed with different properties. This doubles the number of vehicle types available to the commander. In addition, the fun is made more attractive by occasional scripts during the campaign and improved graphics, running on the proprietary 11 bit studio engine.
