Cold War is a standalone expansion to the 2014 RTS called Men of War: Assault Squad 2. Like the original, the add-on was developed by Digitalmindsoft studio.
Unlike the original, the action of which was set during World War II, Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - Cold War takes us to the Cold War era. During the game, we can take control of both the Soviet Union and the United States army.
While playing Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - Cold War, we take part in battles on various maps. We fight for victory, among others, in rural areas, in damaged military bases and fortified border zones, and finally in ruined cities. We lead various units into battle, which - like the previous positions under the Men of War banner - can be controlled individually or by giving orders to the entire army. Among them we will find both ground units, such as infantry, support vehicles, light and heavy tanks and artillery, as well as air units, such as combat helicopters and jet fighters.
The mainstay of Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - Cold War is a procedurally generated campaign. Before starting it, we can choose the length we are interested in, and after its completion (alone or in cooperation), the game allows us to both continue playing in the endless mode and start the struggle again, changing various parameters (such as the level of difficulty, the number of available resources or factions present on the battlefield). For fans of multiplayer competition, the Combined Troops mode has been prepared, in which the gameplay consists in capturing the designated points, as well as the Annihilation mode, where we try to take over the enemy base, trying to secure as many available resources as possible.
Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - Cold War has high quality 3D graphics. Individual units (including vehicles and machines) have been designed with attention to detail, and the surroundings are detailed.
