Railway Empire is an economic strategy. The production was developed by Gaming Minds, an experienced studio in this genre, i.e. a team that has such titles as Patrician IV or Grand Ages: Medieval.
Railway Empire is set in the territory of the United States, and the starting point is the beginning of 1830. Our task is to create a railway empire and eliminate the competition from the market. The game takes place over a long period of time, allowing us to play in the 20th century as well.
Railway Empire is a classically realized economic strategy, so all the fun revolves around developing the company and business management, with the appropriate balancing of revenues and expenses. Our responsibilities include constructing tracks, buying and improving trains, and organizing the transport of people and goods. Investments are also needed in train stations, repair buildings, factories and even tourist attractions for passengers.
The game features over forty types of trains, and while playing, we use over three hundred different technologies, divided into five historical periods. With the development of the technological level of American society, the conditions on the market are changing, forcing adaptation to new elements of business reality.
The gameplay is diversified by competition controlled by artificial intelligence. The game allows you to play with up to three other companies, although less experienced players can only set one or two rivals for themselves. The fight for a position on the market is not limited to purely business games. It is also possible to sabotage the activities of other enterprises with the help of bandits and spies.
