Act of War: Direct Action is a fairly innovative strategy game, the production of which is the responsibility of a small French development studio Eugen Systems. We are dealing here with a real-time strategy, and the basic element that distinguishes it from similar titles are spectacular fights played on the streets of many famous cities.Act of War: Direct Action is set in the near future, the world has been fighting terrorism for many years. The player leads the well-trained units for special tasks called Task Force Talon. Unlike other titles, such as Ghost Recon , the player will not be limited to single actions using small groups of mercenaries. In the Act of Warit takes part in great offensives with the participation of battalions of soldiers supported by aviation (Apache helicopters, F-16 fighters) or, for example, tanks (the popular Abrams). Task Force Talon is equipped with an arsenal of the latest generation weapons, which additionally increases the spectacularity of the fights. Among the futuristic units there were soldiers in special exoskeleton armor or unmanned vehicles. In terms of gameplay style, it combines elements of the RTS genre and turn-based development based on the 4X principle: expansion, exploitation, exploration and extermination. In this case, we control all our units, and the clashes take place in real time. Along with the performance of subsequent tasks, we gain higher and higher military ranks. Regardless of the decisions we make and the pace of the game, enemy races are not idle. If we focus too long on completing the missions in the tutorial, it may turn out that in the meantime, alien civilizations have taken over the most important territories and it will be much more difficult for us to regain them. Likewise, fast expansion gives you hope to dominate space in front of your opponents. The graphics of the game Imperium Galactica varies significantly depending on the scale on which we manage the empire. By controlling the bases from the macro level, we see a simple map of the galaxy with the location of the celestial bodies marked.
