Watch Dogs 2 is a continuation of the sandbox action game Watch Dogs from 2014, modeled on the Grand Theft Auto series, in which, playing the role of an ex-criminal, we used our hacking skills and a whole range of modern gadgets to control city infrastructure and all kinds of communication devices. According to the concept of the series, similar realities also accompany us in the second part of the series.  Watch Dogs 2 action takes place in a completely new city, which is San Francisco, and during the game we play the role of Marcus Holloway, belonging to a local hacking group called Dedsec. Its members aim not only to fight the Central Operating System (ctOS), but most of all ... have fun. Thanks to this, the gameplay in Watch Dogs 2 has a much lighter atmosphere than its predecessor, in which we watched the game world through the eyes of a grim avenger.  New city Watch Dogs 2 takes place in San Francisco, a sunny city bursting with life. The iconic locations of San Francisco look authentic and easily recognizable to everyone familiar with the city. Authenticity extends to recreated neighborhoods, all of which have their atmosphere faithfully captured. Apart from the city itself, the action will take you to a more rural Marin County, the Stanford campus in Silicon Valley, the technological paradise of Nudle, Oakland, and even to Alcatraz. The locations are bursting with life, from tourists, to street performers, to street vendors. Every NPC has procedurally generated flavor information to make them appear even closer to life. Improved hacking gameplay Watch Dogs 2 improves on the hacking systems known from the previous installment. Thanks to ctOS 2.0 installed in Chicago Marcus has more toys to play with than Aidan ever had. Even simply scanning other people on the streets gives a number of new options. Paint them as a criminal or a gang member for police or rival gang intervention, steal their money, or just recharge your phone. The available options are now easier to access, with more intuitive controls despite more complex functions. Some of the most potent options at Marcus' disposal are: the ability to hack into any car to control it to a limited degree, and transforming junction boxes into proximity mines at his leisure. New hero In Watch Dogs 2 comes Marcus Holloway, a young man wrongly painted as a criminal by ctOS 2.0. He decides to join DedSec in their efforts to take this system down for its invasiveness and threat to common citizens. His energy and positive attitude make him a more approachable and enjoyable protagonist, suitable to the sunny San Francisco. He has three distinct playstyles supported by his equipment choices: Aggressor, Stealth, and hacking-focused Trickster Creative chaos The variety and number of tools at your disposal serve to make Watch Dogs 2 gameplay as welcoming to creatively induced chaos as possible. Traffic accidents, police interventions, gang activities and complete control over electrical systems. All of this makes Marcus a creator of chaos serving the right cause. The Trickster branch of gadgets and options focuses on causing widespread and focused distractions while keeping Marcus away from trouble, controlling the growing chaos like a puppeteer.

For the purposes of this production, a new Disrupt engine was created, allowing the creation of a vibrant, detailed city. We play the role of a former criminal named Aiden Pearce, an anti-hero who is an expert in breaking into electronic systems. Thanks to this, he can cause a collision by manipulating the traffic lights at an intersection, connect to the city monitoring system or break into a passing person's phone to learn more about him and, for example, interfere with the course of his daily life (save from a thief, steal money from the account, etc.). Pearce's talents allow him to control almost every element of the modern world around him. Doing all of this is possible thanks to the presence of the Central Operating System, or ctOS. This solution connected the infrastructure managing, among others, to one network. power supply, city subway, traffic lights and surveillance cameras. As a result, metropolises are controlled by computers owned by private companies. These corporations use their position to collect huge amounts of data about every citizen. To take control of a given district, all you need to do is find the local ctOS headquarters and obtain the access codes you need. The game offers a world with an open structure, in which every element connected to the Central Operating System is a potential weapon. All of this does not mean that Aiden is a weakling stuck to the screen of a cell phone. On the contrary, the hero is also able to deal with physical violence very well and is able to deal with much larger enemy forces. During the clashes, he uses both firearms (from a regular pistol to a bazooka), homemade explosives, and close combat techniques. The cover system also helps him survive. Watch Dogs has an extensive multiplayer mode, based on several modes that use the main character's hacking skills in different ways. So here we have a team of decrypting a valuable file, tracking others or hacking smartphones and stealing data. In addition, there are such popular options as regular free roam and racing. The game also allows us to connect with another player using a tablet to control various elements related to ctOS.
