The independent studio Shockwork Games from Lublin is responsible for the production, for which it is a debut project. It was funded on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. Before the premiere of the full version, the developers released a free prologue, thanks to which you can learn about the basic mechanics of the game. Alder's Blood, which is inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft combines dark fantasy with a Victorian western. The action of the game takes place in a forgotten world, plunged into chaos after the death of God and gradually absorbed by ever more numerous forces of darkness. After murdering Him, a malevolent essence emerged from which monstrous creatures devouring people were born. That's when the hunters step in to save humanity from bloodthirsty creatures. The gameplay in Alder's Blood is based on two pillars: managing a camp and a clan of hunters, and traveling around the map and hunting. In the first part, we have the character's equipment, we take care of resources, deal with crafting and trade, while in the second part - we explore the game world in search of the forces of darkness, trying to eliminate them. Without proper resource management and character toughness, the chances of survival decrease. The hunt takes place in a team and is very demanding, but it is the main source of experience points. Prepare for each turn-based matchup; in Alder's Blood, it's very easy to die without a tactical approach. The key is sneaking and paying attention to the breeze or traps set by the enemy. In order to improve your chances of success, you also need to use the skills, spells, and weapons of the hunters appropriate to the situation. During the adventure, in addition to the over 10-hour storyline, there are numerous side tasks waiting for players, which will last for up to 40 hours of gameplay.

This solution makes it necessary to anticipate the opponent's movements, not just react to them. While driving, we can not only give orders to move or attack, but also initiate a number of dangerous maneuvers, the successful execution of which can tip the scales of victory on our side.

Back 4 Blood is a cooperative first-person shooter in which players find themselves in a world dominated by zombies. Back 4 Blood is the work of Turtle Rock Studios, which previously created items such as Evolve or the best-selling Left 4 Dead. Story The world is shaken by a catastrophe. As a result of an epidemic caused by a deadly parasite, a large part of the human population has died out. The cities were also taken over by the Ridden - hosts of the parasite, transforming them into monstrous, destructive creatures. A group of survivors, called the "cleaners", decide to face a horde of hungry zombies together and regain a civilization that is approaching destruction. Gameplay The main goal of the game is to clear the location of the "infected" that threaten the heroes and to complete the mission. Before the game starts, the player chooses one of the eight "survivors" to play the map with. Each character has several unique abilities and access to additional equipment, and is also assigned a specific type of weapon (which the player can, however, exchange during the game). After making a choice, the player and his allies (three other characters, controlled by friends or computer) are transferred to a map full of zombies and start the fight for survival. During the game, he can be attacked by both common "infected" (such as Shambling Ridden Swarm, Ridden or Sprinters) and those with various unique forms and special abilities (Bruisers, Retches or Hockers). The team can also compete with a six-meter-tall mutant (Ogre), who acts as a boss in the game. Co-op The game has several variants of the game - you can play it both alone, as well as in co-op (cooperation) or PvP (player vs player) modes. If the player has plans to face the zombie world alone, he has the option to choose a story campaign in which the rest of the team is controlled by artificial intelligence. However, the campaigns were designed primarily with the co-op play in mind. In this variant, players can create teams of up to four people. The main goal of the campaign divided into chapters, apart from eliminating zombies, is to complete specific missions. The last mode - player vs player - allows you to play eight people. Two teams are formed - in one the players play the role of "cleaners", in the other - the terrible "infected". Both sides have access to unique weapons and abilities, and also have special abilities.
