The Settlers is one of the most renowned video game series. The first installment of this RTS was released in 1993 and was a massive commercial success. Numerous sequels have significantly altered the classic Settlers gameplay. The franchise returns to its roots with The Settlers: New Allies, the reboot that recreates its most beloved elements. Once again, you will build and develop your city and lead its army to battles.
The release
Initially, the game was titled simply The Settlers and was scheduled to be released on March 17, 2022. After the closed beta tests, Ubisoft decided to postpone the premiere. Eventually, the game was renamed The Settlers: New Allies and obtained a new release date: February 17, 2023.
New and improved
The game features distinctive playable factions: the Elari, the Maru, and the Jorn. Each nation has its own unique units, look, and playing style. You'll have the chance to lead them in a story-driven solo campaign and multiplayer modes, including 1v1 and 2v2 multiplayer skirmishes. If you're looking for the ultimate test of your strategic skills, the Hardcore Mode is there for you. Of course, like in all Settlers games, the key to winning is gathering resources, managing your economy, and recruiting an army.
