Die erste Lampe wurde bereits 1965 von Elio Martinelli und Gae Aulenti vorgestellt, wobei Aulenti als Hauptdesigner der Lampe schon damals Freude bereitete. Die Lampe erfreut sich immer noch groß Beliebtheit und wird auch heute noch in neuen Größen und Farben hergestellt. Die Lampen haben viele unterschiedliche Funktionen, auch wenn sie gleich aussehen. Diese Lampe ist kabellos und verfügt über eine Touch-Dimmtaste. Die Tischlampe hat ihren Namen von einer Fledermaus, da die Inspiration von den Flügeln des Tieres stammt.
