Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is the first game developed in collaboration with the Iñupiat, an Alaska Native people. Nearly 40 Alaska Native elders, storytellers and community members contributed to the development of the game. Play as a young Iñupiat girl and an arctic fox as they set out to find the source of the eternal blizzard which threatens the survival of everything they have ever known.  Story The plot was based on the beliefs of the Inuit people. We play the role of a young girl from the Inupiaq tribe, accompanied by a white fox during her journey through the snow-covered lands. The heroine goes on a dangerous journey with the mission of saving her own people and stopping the eternal blizzard. The campaign is divided into eight chapters. During the game, we can meet many creatures known from Inuit legends, such as the People of Heaven, Rolling Heads or the Blizzard Man. To be faithful to folk traditions, Upper One Games studio engaged as consultants members of modern tribal elders, as well as descendants of Inuit specializing in telling this type of story. Gameplay In terms of gameplay, Never Alone is a relatively traditional platformer that tests both dexterity and cunning of players. While playing, we traverse vast levels, avoid traps, fight enemies and solve ingenious logic puzzles. Switching between the girl and her fox plays a key role. Each of these characters has a unique set of skills, the proper use of which is necessary to complete most of the puzzles. In addition to the single-player campaign, there is also a cooperative multiplayer mode in which one person controls the girl and the other plays the fox. During this type of play, puzzles and challenges are modified to provide adequate entertainment for both users.
