This stunning topiary is made from clipped Ligustrum Jonandrum. The Privet, also known as the Ligustrum, starts its tale from Asia, eventually extending into Australia and Europe. The actual plant is used as a street tree in Europe and has an interesting history in that it became very popular as a street ornament in Britain during WWII when the government started to requisition post-1850 iron gates and railings to be turned into ammunition for the war effort.
