Apply a thin layer of dye on the surface of the item with a brush or sponge. Wait until the dye is completely dry and apply another layer if the result is not satisfactory. If it soaks in instantly, the item is ready for dyeing, and you can proceed to the next step. If the water remains on the surface or absorbs very slowly, repeat the cleaning process. Shake the dye vigorously, then dab a few drops onto the applicator (sponge) and spread it in a circular motion, using light pressure, on the surface of the item. Periodically add the dye to the sponge and apply a minimum of a thin layer. Once the first coat has dried (approx. 2 hours), apply a second coat (to even out the colour). If necessary, apply a third coat and wait until the item is completely dry (approx. 24 hours).
