RPM Pivot Ball Set screws, Bushings & Spacers Quick Notes: Stock replacement setscrews and bushing caps for all RPM T-Maxx, E-Maxx and Revo Axle Carriers Fits older stock Traxxas 4932 axle carriers Works with RPM 80031, 80032, 80035, 80038, 80562, 80565, 80581, 800582, 80585, 80942 & 80945 Until now, the only way to replace damaged or worn out pivot ball setscrews and bushing caps was to purchase new pivot balls as well. This was quite costly and frustrating since rarely do the stock pivot balls wear out.Our new pivot ball setscrews and bushing caps were designed to help reduce costs by nearly half and eliminate the need to buy unnecessary parts! These setscrews and bushing caps are direct replacement parts for older Traxxas Axle Carriers and RPM Oversized Bearing Carriers.* Associated MGT owners: Stock MGT axle carriers have the same geometry as stock Traxxas T/E-Maxx carriers. The only differences between the two are in the thread size and the spacing between the bearings. This package takes care of those differences and allows Associated MGT owners to run RPM T/E-Maxx Oversized Bearing Carriers (80031, 80032, 80035, & 80038) on their trucks by placing the small spacer between the two bearings in the carrier and using the new RPM pivot ball setscrews that come in this package.What?s Included: RPM Pivot Ball Setscrews and Bushing Caps are packaged in sets (four setscrews, four bushing caps, and two axle spacers) enough to complete two bearing carriers. We use 30 degree leading and trailing edges, which help the vehicle transition up and over tall objects instead of plowing into or through them. Our oversized bosses for the hinge pin, shock mount and screws help support high breakage areas. Key oversized areas can be larger in diameter by at least 10% and wider by as much as 65%! RPM engineers tweaked the shock mount angle on our rear A-arms to eliminate the bind on the lower shock pivot ball at full suspension droop found with stock a-arms. A full set of front and rear A-arms from RPM weigh in less than stock arms as well, shedding unsprung weight in the process of adding some much needed muscle. A final, critical touch eliminates much of the slop from the suspension and steering systems. Hinge pin hole diameters are now .118? (or 3mm), cutting nearly .004? (.1mm) of slop from each hinge pin!RPM EXO A-arms are molded from our trademark blend of incredibly strong materials and are sold in black. In that short amount of time, the durability of our Baja A-arms displayed their unbeatable nature! That kind of performance can now be matched out back with our rear A-arms for the 5SC, 5B & 5T.RPM Baja rear A-arms start with the basic geometry of the stock arms so they are direct replacement parts ? no additional parts will be needed. However, we?ve made a number of modifications to the arms to improve performance and durability. Key durability features are as follows:The shock mount on the lower A-arm has been moved forward by a full 1/4? to help reduce the severe rubbing issue of the wheel at the shock mount that would cause stock arms to break. By moving the shock mount forward, we were able to increase the material around the shock mount to protect the lower shock rod end, preventing it from being the lowest hanging component of the A-arm assembly. We?ve incorporated a third inner hinge pin boss at the inside hinge pin of the lower A-arm and tied in structural ribs that help disperse impact energy and rotational forces from engine torque over all three hinge pin bosses.Similar corner webs to those found on our front A-arms have been designed into the rear upper and lower A-arms to help improve strength and durability.In the performance department, we moved the rear hub carrier forward by 1/8? over stock geometry. While this does little to change the overall wheelbase of the vehicle, what it does do is alter the angle of the drive shaft as it exits the differential. This reduces the tendency of the Baja to squat under acceleration. By sliding the rear hub carrier forward, we use the torque of the motor to effectively ?push? the rear wheels into the ground, using both the weight of the Baja and the torque of the motor to improve acceleration performance. Up top, RPM rear upper A-arms have had a shape change for added lateral stability ? the stock ?Y? shape tends to allow the upper pivot ball to move forward and backward while the RPM ?D? shape holds the upper pivot ball in place more solidly, providing a more consistent feel to the performance of the Baja.We mold our Baja 5SC, 5B & 5T rear A-arms in both a stealthy black and a dyeable white version for those that like to personalize their vehicles. A little Rit clothing dye, some hot water and our dyeable A-arms can be dyed to any color you prefer!Tech Notes: RPM Rear A-arms for the Baja 5SC, 5B & 5T are sold in sets consisting of one upper and one lower A-arm.
