Deadly Consequences - Robert L. Maginnis - Bog - Regnery Publishing Inc - Plusbog.dk

The Obama administration has announced its intention to change the long-standing combat exclusion policy that limited women to support jobs in the military; now women can hunker down in foxholes on the frontlines. President Obama is dead set on eviscerating our military by pushing women to the frontlines. He isn't the only one to blame, however-this policy is the product of a naive culture that blindly embraces government-hosted violence in the name of equal opportunity. But there is no evidence women are clamoring for ground combat assignments. Worse yet, there is significant reason to believe that women in combat will lead to a wide range of devastating consequences, many unforeseen and unintended by proponents, but no less dangerous. Pentagon insider Robert L. Maginnis exposes the cold truth behind this contentious topic, debunking barefaced myths about "gender equality" in combat situations in his new book Deadly Consequences: How Cowards are Pushing Women into Combat. Civilian feminists view ground combat as a glass ceiling for women's equal opportunity. They could not care less about our fighting ability or the threat it poses for women and for the men they serve with. Women in the U.S. Armed Forces are regularly held to lower training standards than men. That means that when they're called into active combat situations, they won't bring the same physical strength and skills training as men do. In training, male Marines are required to lift 40 pounds, while female trainees must only lift 20. If a ship is sinking and the only way to save it is to lift a 40-pound piece of equipment, the female Marines will be less qualified for the task. On top of this disparity is a looming draft. Security experts foresee another American draft within this generation; if women can serve in combat, every male and female over the age of 18 will be in danger of being called up. Controversial and starkly factual, Deadly Consequences is a resounding indictment of a policy that is bound to erode not only the American military, but jeopardize American security and society as well.

Soaring to Glory - Philip Handleman - Bog - Regnery Publishing Inc - Plusbog.dk

"This book is a masterpiece. It captures the essence of the Tuskegee Airmen's experience from the perspective of one who lived it. The action sequences make me feel I'm back in the cockpit of my P-51C 'Kitten'! If you want to know what it was like fighting German interceptors in European skies while winning equal opportunity at home, be sure to read this book!" — Colonel Charles E. McGee , USAF (ret.) former president, Tuskegee Airmen Inc. “All Americans owe Harry Stewart Jr. and his fellow airmen a huge debt for defending our country during World War II. In addition, they have inspired generations of African American youth to follow their dreams.” — Henry Louis Gates Jr. , Alphonse Fletcher University Professor, Harvard University He had to sit in a segregated rail car on the journey to Army basic training in Mississippi in 1943. But two years later, the twenty-year-old African American from New York was at the controls of a P-51, prowling for Luftwaffe aircraft at five thousand feet over the Austrian countryside. By the end of World War II, he had done something that nobody could take away from him: He had become an American hero. This is the remarkable true story of Lt. Col. Harry Stewart Jr., one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen pilots who experienced air combat during World War II. Award-winning aviation writer Philip Handleman recreates the harrowing action and heart-pounding drama of Stewart’s combat missions, including the legendary mission in which Stewart downed three enemy fighters. Soaring to Glory also reveals the cruel injustices Stewart and his fellow Tuskegee Airmen faced during their wartime service and upon return home after the war. Stewart’s heroism was not celebrated as it should have been in postwar America—but now, his boundless courage and determination will never be forgotten.

Angels Against the Sun - James M. Fenelon - Bog - Regnery Publishing Inc - Plusbog.dk

In the tradition of Band of Brothers , historian and former paratrooper James M. Fenelon offers a grunt’s-eye view of the 11th Airborne’s heroic campaign to liberate the Philippines in World War II. A soldier’s history at its best. A Grunt’s-Eye View of Pacific Warfare The Pacific theater of World War II pitted American fighting men against two merciless enemies: the relentless Japanese army and the combined forces of monsoons, swamps, mud, privation, and disease. General Joseph Swing’s rowdy paratroopers of the 11th Airborne Division— nicknamed the “Angels”—fought in some of the war’s most dramatic campaigns, from bloody skirmishes in Leyte’s unforgiving rainforests to the ferocious battles on Luzon, including the hellish urban combat of Manila. The Angels were trained as elite shock troops, but high American casualties often forced them into action as ground-pounding infantrymen. Surviving on airdropped supplies and reinforcements, the Angels fought their way across nearly impassable terrain, emerging as one of the most lethal units in the Pacific War. Their final task was the occupation of Japan, where they were the first American boots on the ground. Angels Against the Sun is an unforgettable account of the liberation of the Philippines. In the tradition of Band of Brothers , historian and former paratrooper James M. Fenelon offers a grunt’s-eye view of the war. This is a soldier’s history at its best.

Where Cowards Go to Die - Benjamin Sledge - Bog - Regnery Publishing Inc - Plusbog.dk

Where Cowards Go to Die - Benjamin Sledge - Bog - Regnery Publishing Inc - Plusbog.dk

A former soldier awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart tells the story of overcoming the mental and physical wounds of war on a fifteen year odyssey that led him back to the very place where his nightmares began—and the only place redemption was possible. While serving a portion of his time under the Special Operations Command, Benjamin Sledge fought to keep his humanity amid the killing fields of Iraq and Afghanistan. But war never leaves its participants uscathed. In Where Cowards Go to Die , Sledge reveals an unflinchingly honest portrait of war that few dare to tell. Stationed on a small base on the border of Pakistan in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11, the young warrior returned home shattered after embracing the barbarity he witnessed around him. Haunted by his experiences overseas, he began a 15 year odyssey wrestling with mental health, purpose, and faith, that eventually drove him to volunteer for another combat tour in the deadliest city of the Iraq War—Ramadi. In his memoir, Sledge vividly captures the reality of the men and women who learn to fight without remorse, love each other without restraint, and suffer the high cost of returning to a country that no longer feels like home. “In life or war, you’ll die a coward by refusing to live and act selflessly. Or you can kill your inner cowardice for something greater to emerge. But either way, a coward dies.” -Benjamin Sledge

Sex Scandal - Ashley Mcguire - Bog - Regnery Publishing Inc - Plusbog.dk

Men and women used to cheer: vive la difference! But now, contrary to all science and common sense, we're supposed to believe that there is no difference. (And if you insist there is, you just might be accused of a hate crime!) Our culture--and our laws--are endorsing a worldview rooted in craziness. For instance, we're told that: *Boys who think they're girls (and who could change their minds tomorrow) should be allowed to participate in girls' sports--and shower in their locker rooms *Expectant mothers are now "birthing individuals" *Coed college dorm rooms and bathrooms are great, but single-sex clubs are a campus danger *It's horrible for stores to have separate boys and girls clothing departments (let alone toy sections) *It would be a great idea for our military to lower physical standards and push young women and mothers into combat roles in the military If you think that's insanity, you're not alone, but you might be surprised at just how widespread--and successful--this lunatic campaign has become. In her compelling new book, Sex Scandal, journalist Ashley McGuire takes this radical campaign to task and reveals: *How so-called "gender-norming" flies in the face of science (which is proving that men and women are even more different than commonly acknowledged) *Why--especially if you have kids--it's almost impossible to avoid the dangerous consequences of a "gender neutral" world *How embracing sexual differences can make policing safer, government more efficient--and hedge funds lose less money *How "gender neutrality" is making women more vulnerable to violence *How the word "gender"--formerly a grammatical term--has been used to dismiss the reality of definite, biological "sex" (male and female) with fluid "gender identities" *Why "gender" insanity is not something we can just ignore and hope will fade away, but need to refute--now--with hard, cold facts before it does any more damage (which it likely will) Sex Scandal: The Drive to Abolish Male and Female is packed with news-breaking interviews, shocking examples, and "inconvenient" facts that everyone needs to read--and act on.
