Agapanthus Lapis Lazuli (Pot Size: 2 Litre Pot)
Agapanthus Lapis Lazuli is named after the stone of the same name, that bears a stunning deep blue colour and has been considered to be precious since ancient times. This variety shows itself to be absolutely worthy of its name, bearing stunning deep blue flowers atop a dark, evergreen mound of foliage, flowering from mid to late summer. It grows up to about 60cm tall and its foliage is likely to spread up to 40cm, making this plant perfect for pots. Due to its long stems and showy flowers this is also a great choice when making cut flower displays, and they will survive over the winter to flower again in the next year as long as they’re protected in a greenhouse. Agapanthus tend to grow quite quickly and this variety is no different, and it won’t require much water during that period meaning you can spend more time appreciating than you are tending! This variety will put up the most flowers if planted in a sunny spot, so if you’re looking to really get the most out of their spectacular colour then a sunny but well shaded part of the garden or the place you put the pot will serve the best, so long as it’s sheltered.
