Properties Lightweight, very fine fusible woven interlining made from synthetic fibres. Weight 30 g/m2 Application areas For the fusing of small parts in blouses and dresses and front parts of elastic jackets. Suitable for lightweight, transparent and sensitive fabrics. Processing As with all interlinings from Vlieseline, this woven interlining is always cut lengthwise following the direction of the thread. Place the interlining on the reverse side of the fabric with the coated side facing down and initially fix in place at a few points at a low temperature to prevent warping. Then cover with a damp cloth and iron on thoroughly, section by section, for around 8 seconds. Do not push the iron. After fixing, lay the pieces down flat to cool down for around 30 minutes to allow the bond to stabilise. Weight 160 g/m2 Application areas For the securing of elastic seams, e.g. shoulder seams of ladies' wear, lingerie, swimwear and sportswear and also for creative accents such as gathers, ripples and ruffles. Processing Cut the Framilastic shorter than the section to be sewn – depending on how much of a gather you wish to create. At the start of your gather, sew on approx. 1 cm of tape smoothly (with a zigzag stitch, and please don’t forget to fix the underlap). Then stretch the tape the desired length and sew it on while under tension. At the end, you must again fix the underlap. When working with Framalistic, the transparent tape should always be sewn in the centre. This ensures it is even and sits evenly. Important: When washing, do not use softener.
