Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII is a turn-based strategy enriched with RPG elements for the PS4, PC etc. platform. The production is one of the oldest series of this type, the first part of which was released in 1985. The project was developed by Konami studio, also responsible for all previous editions.
Story
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII takes place in China in the 2nd century AD, during the Han Dynasty and the era of the Three Kingdoms that followed. When creating the realities of the game, the authors used both historical records and the plot of the fourteenth-century novel entitled The Story of the Three Kingdoms, which presented a heavily colored version of real events.
This solution allowed the authors to offer factions, places and characters known from the textbooks, but at the same time also gave them greater freedom to create plots and scenarios, without having to be limited to historical truth. The era presented in the game is a period of struggle for control over China and players take on the role of a commander who tries to unite this country and restore peace in it.
