Micro Machines: World Series is another part of the cult series of arcade racing games, developed by the Codemasters Software team. The series was born in 1991, and since 2006, when Micro Machines V4 went on sale, it has not appeared on personal computers or consoles. Nevertheless, the success of his mobile spin-off ultimately convinced the creators of a big comeback. This is how the production discussed here was born, which was released, among others, on the PC, PS4 and XONE platforms. Just like in the legendary original, in Micro Machines: World Series we take control of remotely controlled car models. We have 12 different vehicles at our disposal, including space for exotic racing cars and trucks that wreak real havoc on the track. Individual machines are equipped with a diverse arsenal - we are talking about rocket launchers, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, or even machine guns. Attention is drawn to unusual locations in which we have to fight for a place on the podium. The races take place on pool tables, in sheds, on backyard sidewalks, and finally on the kitchen table known from the original, which is full of obstacles in the form of cups, cutlery, plates and food scraps. Interestingly, the key to victory is the elimination of other opponents, as well as getting acquainted with the individual routes - these are diversified by numerous obstacles like spilled oil, which can be used to turn the tide of the race. As usual, the production of the title is the responsibility of the British studio Codemasters, with the DiRT, Race Driver, Colin McRae Rally and Micro Machines series to their credit. The fans' opinions collected by the developers after the premiere of F1 2015 played an important role in the production process. The game uses the same graphics engine as its predecessor, introducing completely new game modes and minor changes to the fun model. Gameplay F1 2016 holds a full F1 racing license. Thanks to this, while having fun, we sit at the controls of virtual equivalents of real cars and drive on real tracks on which races took place from the 2016 season - including a completely new one, set out on the streets of Azerbaijani Baku. The current team line-ups are also at the players' disposal - the creators did not forget about the debuting American Haas F1 Team. In the F1 2016 career mode, we start the game by creating an avatar and choosing a team that suits us. Each of them has different goals and expectations towards our character. For victories and records on the routes, we receive points, which we spend on the purchase of further improvements to various components of the car. A special location has also been introduced to the game, acting as a hub. We will talk with key team members, such as engineers and mechanics, and commission them, for example, with new technical projects. F1 2016 for PC, PS4 and XONE also offers fully functional test drives for the first time, which we can take before the real competition. They allow us not only to remember individual tracks and develop an optimal strategy, but also to score points and thus improve the car.
