Warhammer: Chaosbane is an action RPG belonging to the hack'n'slash category. This is the first game of this type set in the Warhammer fantasy universe. The project was developed by the French studio Eko Software, known mainly from the How to Survive series, under the auspices of Bigben Interactive, which released the game.
The action takes place in a gloomy fantasy land known as the Old World, developed by Games Workshop and originally developed for the Warhammer Fantasy Battle tabletop battle game.
The campaign alludes to one of the most important events in the rich history of the universe, i.e. the dramatic defense of the human Empire against the hordes of Chaos, commanded by the future emperor Magnus and the elven archmage Teclis. During the adventure, we have the opportunity to visit various corners of the Old World, including the cursed city of Praag and Nuln - the largest human metropolis.
Warhammer: Chaosbane is a classic hack'n'slash action RPG. This means that we observe the gameplay in isometric projection, and it boils down mainly to clashes with hordes of monsters using a highly dexterous combat system, in which the player's reflexes play an equally important role as the hero's statistics and skills.
While playing, we traverse corridor locations, collect items and develop the character. There are four classes to choose from when starting your adventure: Imperial Trooper, Dwarven Monster Slayer, Bowling Wood Elf, and High Elf with magic. Each of them has unique features that affect the gameplay.
