Schodu Gin Schodu Gin comes from the South-West of the Netherlands in Zeeland, and is made with local ingredients, sea buckthorn, rosehip, pine tips and pear along with the obligatory juniper. These ingredients blend perfectly, with none of them overpowering the others. Hooghoudt Sweet Spiced Genever (Mini) 5cl

Hooghoudt Sweet Spiced Genever With their sweet spiced genever, Hooghoudt bring a contemporaty twist to Genever - and sure to please genever lovers, as well as introduce it to a whole new audience. Made in a traditional way, with juniper and spice - this has a sweetened taste (as the name suggests), being made also with vanilla and cinnamon.  This is a really apppealing genever on the nose, with a sweet caramel aroma and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. There is a definite note of juniper too, and a touch of liquorice. On the palate this has similar notes to the aroma. It's smooth, and bursting with flavour. There's quite a lot of spice, but mild and warming rather than full of heat. A touch of fruit from grapefruit and apricot, and caramel along with vanilla really come through as well. Gingery Poolside Gin If you're a fan of gin, then grab a towel and a glass and get down to the pool as this is the gin for you! (If you're not a fan of ginger there's no beating around the bush..... this isn't the gin for you!). This is a gin where the Ginger (with a capital G) is the star of the show. Whilst juniper and other spices are found in the gin, they most definitely play a backing role. The aroma and flavour leave nothing to the imagination. Juniper, a touch of citrus and ginger are there from the start. Exceptionally refreshing, and deliciously warming with it. Poetic License Old Tom Gin Reminiscent of the types of gin that were enjoyed in the 1800's, Old Tom Gin's are sweeter - and have been making a come back recently. With theirs, the Poetic License Distillery in Sunderland (North UK) have made a gin which is sweeter than their Dry Gin, but with a touch of pepper. The botanicals they use enhance the sweeter taste, and the oak casks they use continue to add additional flavour and colour. The inclusion of hibiscus and rose petals infuses their distinct character within the gin, also adding a delightful rose gold tinge. On the nose this gin is quite aromatic, with distinct floral aromas. However, with its juniper back note there is no forgetting this is a gin! On the palate the sweetness really comes through, tempered with the pepper spice - the sugary petal flavours blend perfectly. V2C Classic Dutch Dry Gin V2C takes pride in its home (Amsterdam), but like the Dutch of old, looks to the wider world when thinking of ingredients. They ensure that the gin is created to the highest standards, and use ingredients harvested from across the world. With their name, they indicate the intent behind the gin. Four friends founded V2C, and it was named after the address they lived during their studies, the famous Victor de Stuersstraat 2C in Maastricht. To this end, the gin was created to encourage lively conversation and good times with friends. With their Classic gin, they pay homage to the more classic gin flvaours, but with a definite V2C twist. They use the freshest juniper, orange, licorice, laurel and St John’s Wort, which they subtly spice with coriander, cardamom, lemon and ginger. This is a gin which is definitely juniper-forward (another "classic" part to the gin), which is joined perfectly with soft spice and tangy fruit. This brings a subtle, light complexity to the drink. The taste has a lot of oily juniper which coats the mouth perfectly. Pine and cardamom spice are balanced by refreshing citrus notes. Theres also a hint of vanilla flower which creeps in. Hooghoudt RAW Genever For their RAW Genever, Hooghoudt have combined four different malt spirits (3 individually distilled - barley, wheat, rye and the classic malt mix of wheat corn and rye), and blended this with a carefully selected selection of juniper (it is Genever!), herbs and spices.  As this is a RAW genever, it is not aged in Oak barrels, which gives it the fresh character of a young genever. Unlike with gin, the alcohol base of malt is not just a carrier for the oils and spices - but also a flavour in itself of the genever itself - and adds a distinct flavour. The aroma of this genever has subtle grain notes, which are complemented with juniper, citrus and a herbal background. Ballantine's Finest Whisky With a heritage that dates back to 1827, Ballantines is one of the most known and loved Scotch Whisky brands in the world. It started with George Ballantine in a small grocery store in Edinburgh. Here he would supply a range of whiskies to his customers. his developed into a larger establishment in Edinburgh, where along with his son George Junior they began to create their own blends. In 1920, the recipe for Ballantine's Finest was created, and it has stayed true to the original ever since. The result is a whisky which has become Europe's No. 1 Scotch Whisky, and was voted the World's Best Blended Scotch in 2020. Fun Fact: During prohibition, the bottles were designed to be square so that American Salesmen could conceal them in their briefcases without them rolling around should any inspectors be around! On its arrival into the distillery, the blend is infused with local fruits and spices found on the Isle of Wight. Firstly, rim the glass with melted chocolate, then pour 35ml Mermaid Spiced Rum, 20ml banana liqueur, 15ml chocolate liqueur and 75ml oat milk into a cocktail shaker with ice. For their distinctly coloured Damson & Raspberry Gin, Wildjac have taken inspiration from the many fresh fruits availabile close to their distillery. Van Kleef Gin (Mini) 5cl

Van Kleef Gin  Founded in 1842 in the heart of the city of the Hague, Van Kleef is now the last remaining jenever and liqueur brand to be found based there. They believe the quality, craftmanship, and the combined history in their drinks help to make a true "lifewater".  For their gin, they use a base of a grain alcohol - which helps ensure a smooth gin. Whilst the full recipe is a secret, the flavours in predominant flavours are juniper (it is gin!), coriander and angelica seed.  The result is a classic gin, but one with a twist.
