Conker Dorset Dry Gin (Mini) 5cl

Conker Dorset Dry Gin (Mini) 5cl

Conker Dorset Dry Gin A refreshing take on a classic London Dry - well balanced and juniper guided, but with the bright and refreshing Dorset notes of elderberry, samphire and hand-picked gorse flowers. Distilled and bottled by Conker Spirit in the UK at Dorset's first gin distillery. Conker Gin embodies the spirit of the county, a blend of British wheat alcohol and New Forest Spring Water with botanicals from all over the Dorset coast and New Forest (a national forest). Conker Gin uses 10 carefully selected botanical ingredients: juniper from Italy, coriander seed from the UK, angelica from Belgium, orris root (iris), cassia bark from Indonesia, bitter orange peel, fresh lime peel from Mexico and Peru, Marsh Samphire from Dorset (UK), Gorse flowers from Dorset (UK) and elderberries. Slightly less dry on the palate than a London Dry Gin. It is complex, layered with a clear freshness and an intriguing long finish - evoking that second sip. The aroma is led by juniper, but with a hint of fresh lime citrus to brighten. It leaves a clear and purposeful impression. The juniper also leads the taste, but is quickly followed by spices slightly sweetened by the herbaceous bluish fruit notes of the elderberry. It ends perfectly with a long lasting citrus feel, a perfect compliment between dry and slight sweetness. Read more about Conker Perfect Serve The perfect G&T for this gin is with a classic indian tonic (We recommend Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic), a twist of lime peel, and of course you can never have too much ice!

Chivas Regal 18Y Gold Signature Whisky (Mini) 5cl

Chivas Regal 18Y Gold Signature Whisky (Mini) 5cl

Chivas Regal 18Y Gold Signature Whisky Produced by Chivas Brothers (which is owned by Pernod Ricard) at the Strathisla distillery in Keith, Moray in Speyside (Scotland, UK). This distillery was founded in 1786, and is the oldest continuously operating Highland distillery. Launched in 1997 and created by Master Blender Colin Scott, this 18 year old aged whisky is a blend of over 20 single malts from across Scotland. The aging within the carefully selected casks develops intense flavours and ensures a refined whisky. According to Chivas it has an incredible 85 different flavour notes in each drop. So truly complex, rich and luxurious. The nose is rich and indulgent, drawing you into the whisky with multiple layers of aroma. Dried fruits and buttery toffee merge with dark chocolate and warming spices, all of which are rounded off with a touch of marmalade. On the palate the warming spices come through, on a drink which is velvet like, coating the mouth perfectly. The marmalade again comes through, merging with dark chocolate, a little mellow oak and smoke as well as a touch of elegant floral tones.  On the finish the warm notes of spice, oak and in particular cinnamon come to the mouth - and finish extremely warm and long. More from Chivas Regal Perfect Serve Whilst we found this delicious simply sipped neat, we also find the comled and elegant flavours add a new dimension and a definite upgrade to your whisky based cocktails.

Mermaid Spiced Rum (Mini) 5cl

Mermaid Spiced Rum (Mini) 5cl

Mermaid Spiced Rum Presented in a stunning "fish-scale" like bottle with a cork stopper, this rum is hand-crafted on the Isle of Wight (a small island off the south coast of the UK).  Mermaid Spiced Rum is a carefully selected blend of sugar cane and molasses rum from Trinidad and the Dominican Republic which have been aged between 2-5 years in oak bourbon whiskey barrels. On its arrival into the distillery, the blend is infused with local fruits and spices found on the Isle of Wight. The botanicals include rock samphire, fresh white cherry and apricot, honey from their own beehives and black salt from their floodtides. It is gently spiced using local holy grass, cassia and vanilla, resulting in a smooth yet complex rum with a hint of sea air, delicate caramel notes and a vibrant fruity spice. Did you know? The Isle of Wight Distillery care about the environment. In 2019, they completely removed plastic from their bottles. In 2021 they switched to only using 100% renewable energy suppliers at the distillery and in 2022 they achieved B Corp Certification - meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. More from The Isle of Wight Distillery Perfect Serve Mermaid rum is delicious in a mixed drink or cocktail. For a Mermaid Spiced Rum & Ginger, pour 50ml rum into a glass filled with ice and top up with ginger ale (we like it with Fentimans Ginger Ale). Garnish with a sprig of mint and a maraschino cherry and enjoy. If you love a cocktail, how about a rich and indulgent Bananarumba. Firstly, rim the glass with melted chocolate, then pour 35ml Mermaid Spiced Rum, 20ml banana liqueur, 15ml chocolate liqueur and 75ml oat milk into a cocktail shaker with ice. Roll it gently (no need to shake), until everything is blended together and nicely chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of caramilised banana.

If you prefer a herbaceously and fragrant cocktail, then a Basil Smash is perfect (and not so hard to make). Activate the basil (8 leaves), by giving it a slap in your hands, then place in a cocktail shaker and use a muddler to bash them up a bit. Add 60ml Brighton Gin Pavilion Strength, 25ml fresh lime juice and 15ml sugar syrup. Add ice and shake, shake, shake for about 15 seconds. Double strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a basil leaf. If you like a longer drink, pour into a highball glass and top up with soda water.

Geschnapst Peer Fruitbrandewijn 35cl

Geschnapst Peer Fruitbrandewijn 35cl

Geschnapst Peer Fruitbrandewijn Fruit Brandy, or Schnapps, is something that is drunk often in the alpine countries (where it's enjoyed après-ski) and in Central and Eastern Europe. In these countries, quite frequently it's even distilled at home (almost every family has someone who distils). It's due to this that Nada knew Schnapps. Coming from a mixed Slovenian / Dutch background, she frequently visited her fathers family in Slovenia. Here hospitality is a way of life, where food and drink is enjoyed, and is part of their DNA. Even Nada's cousin produces his own drink for the family to enjoy. When looking for a great Schnapps she could enjoy in the Netherlands, Nada couldn't find anything that compared to what she enjoyed whilst with her family. So she decided to take matters into her own hands. She managed to get the (secret) family recipe, and then went about sourcing quality ingredients and the right people to help her create something special in the Netherlands. To create her Pear Schapps requires fruit, and a lot of it. Nada made a concious decision to utilise 'ugly' fruit. Fruit that has all the taste and flavour that's needed, but might be misshapen, or blemised on the outside.  For this reason, supermarkets aren't interested in it - so often it goes to waste. The taste for juice, or schnapps though is absolutely perfect. Dutch conference & sweet sensation pears are used to create this drink. When combined in the correct ratio, this gives the correct flavour profile. The fruit is juiced, and then allowed to ferment. Once this has been done, its distilled and the fermented juice is turned into a highly alcoholic drink. This is then blended with fresh water, until an abv of 40% is reached. At this point, it's ready.  Good to know: Not only does Nada ensure that fruit which would otherwise go to waste is used, but the distillery also uses 100% green electricity.  The resulting schnapps is a joy to drink. It has a distinct aroma of pears, and this carries through into the taste.  Perfect Serve This can be enjoyed straight up (at room temperature) on its own as an apertitif, a digestif or mixed with a quality tonic as a longer drink. (Nada recommends using a shot or grappa glass)
