Gin Mare Capri 1L

Gin Mare Capri 1L

Gin Mare Capri A place which conjures images of elegance, style and the Italian lifestyle.... the island of Capri, in the gulf of Naples. It is from here that Gin Mare have taken inspiration for their new Gin, ten years after creating their iconic Mediterranean gin. In a beautiful blue glass bottle, inspiration has been taken from the famous Blue Caves of Capri, and the quality feel continues with a canvas printed label. A collar label, in the shape of the Island rounds this off hung delicately from the neck of the bottle. Two new ingredients make themselves known in this edition; In keeping with their other botanicals (all from the mediterranean region) these are Lemons from Capri and bergamot. These are added to the distinctive, mediterranean botanicals found in Gin Mare, being Arbequina Olives from Spain, Basil from Italy, Rosemary from Greece, and Thyme from Turkey. They keep the same artisinal approach in making this gin as they do in the original Gin Mare. The citrus fruits are all peeled by hand, before being macerated for 12 months in small containers. This ensures a real depth of flavour. The flavours and aromas of this edition are reminiscent of its older brother, but with the added enrichment of deeper herbal and citrus profiles (both in taste, and aroma) from the lemons and bergamot. Read more about Gin Mare Perfect Serve Like its older brother, the flavours in this gin stand for themselves, and work particulary well with Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water (it doesn't overpower the gin, and allows the additional botanicals to come through). Use 50ml of gin with 150 / 200ml (depending how strong you like it), combine over ice in a large copa-glass and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon.

Don Julio Anejo Tequila 70cl

Don Julio Anejo Tequila 70cl

San Pablo Reserva 15 Years Curaçao Rum 70cl

Hennessy VS Cognac (Minis) 12 x 5cl

Hennessy VS Cognac (Minis) 12 x 5cl

Hennessy VS Cognac The history behind Hennessy goes back to 1765. It was an Irish Jacobite officer who had served in the army of Louis XV that started the Hennesy Cognac Distillery. He had retired in the cognac region where he setup the distillery and began exporting his products to the UK and Ireland. Now known as one of the 'big four' cognac producers in the world (who between then produce around 85% of the world's cognac). Hennessy is the largest of the four, and produce around 70 million bottles of cognac a year. In fact, it was in 1840 that Hennessy became the worlds leading exporter of Brandy, and to this day have not lost that title. Being a type of Brandy, Cognac falls under the French appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) which means there are strict requirements to be called Cognac. These include twice distilling specific grape varieties in copper pot stills and aging for a minimum of two years in Limousin or Tronçais oak casks. The VS (very special) designation denotes that the youngest brandy within the blend has had the minimum two years in casks (it is always the youngest brandy in the blend which gives the designation).  Hennessy VS Cognac is a blend masterfully created from over 40 different eaux-de-vie. It is the Master Blender who oversees this process to ensure the quality.  The result of this blending and knowledge is a full bodied cognac. With a renowned smoothness, and a touch of sweetness it has distinct spice notes. The aging in wood gives a light nuttiness to the cognac, which join with flavours of rich dried fruits and berries. These are all rounded out by warming vanilla. Interesting fact: In 1813 Jean Fillioux was appointed Master Blender. A member of the Fillious family has kept this role ever since - more than 250 years and a total of eight generations! More from Hennessy Perfect Serve If enjoying straight up on its own, ensure you enjoy this at room temperature from a tulip glass. However this also works exceptionally well in the mix. Try mixing with ginger ale for a longer refreshing drink, which brings out the natural spice found in Hennessy V.S. Take a tall glass filled with ice and add 40ml of the V.S. Gently pour over 100ml of ginger ale (we like this with Fentimans), and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Kamiki Blended Malt Whisky 50cl

Kamiki Blended Malt Whisky 50cl

Merlet XO Cognac 70cl

Merlet XO Cognac 70cl

Merlet XO Cognac The Merlet family have been producing wine since the 18th Century. But it was in 1850 that Firmin Merley began distilling just outside the village of Saint Sauvant in the region of Saintonge Using this, he began to distill his own harvest. It was his successor, Edouard, who began providing fine eaux-de-vie to the large cognac houses like Hennessy. Through generations, the Merlet family have refined their expetise in producing unique eaux-de-vie which is respectful of the Saintonge terroir. However, it is time in oak barrels which ensures their eaux-de-vie develops into harmonious cognacs. For their XO Cognac, the current family members (Gilles and his sons) produce this blend from very old eaux-de-vie (which have been aged for at least 10 years) which are distilled in their stills, and matured in the family's cellars. The Merlet XO Cognac is produced using eaux-de-vie from various 'cru's of the appelation, which offer a rich and fruity palate - which is characteristically Merlet in flavour With its dark brown colour, and golden tinges this cognac entices even whilst in the glass. The nose is complex and deliciously rich, with an aromatic range that goes from orange peel and vanilla to white flowers. The palate has a fine woodiness to it, yet remains clean and well rounded. The characteristic fruitiness is clear and remains through to the end.  More from Merlet Perfect Serve With a cognac of this quality, we suggest enjoying neat - allowing the buanced flavours to shine.

Dingle Bealtaine Whiskey 70cl

Dingle Bealtaine Whiskey 70cl

Dingle Bealtaine Whiskey The third of nine in Dingle's 'Wheel of the Year' Series - this limited edition Pot Still whiskey was released in the Irish market on the 1st May 2023. "Small. Artisan. Independent. Proud." - These are the 'truths' of Dingle distillery, and which they hold true to themselves. Located in Country Kerry in the South-West of Ireland, the Dingle Distillery produces whiskey's that they believe to be a product of their environment. They use local well water, manually mash their barley, use wooden fermentation vessels and copper pot stills. The environment they are located in also ensures the maturation process creates a whiskey unlike any other. For their Pot Still whiskey's they use a mix of malted and unmalted barley. Fun Fact: Bealtaine is a special day in the Irish calendar. It marks the end of spring and the beginning of summer. An homage to the arrival of long summer evenings and the Bealtaine fire festival, this is a Pot Still whiskey which has been matured in Bourbon Casks, before being finished in a Shiraz Cask.  The aroma of this whiskey has sweet aromas of sundried raisins, rich dates, and vanilla cream. On the palate there is a warmth with dark syrupy cherries, a nutty caramelness and rich velvety chocolate. This develops into a warm spicy finish. More from Dingle Perfect Serve This is easily enjoyed straight, savoured as it is sipped. Adding a cube of ice, or a splash of water can also allow other flavours to develop depending on your palate. Drink however you enjoy!

An Dulaman Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin 50cl

An Dulaman Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin 50cl

The Macallan 12 Year Triple Cask Matured Whisky 70cl

The Macallan 12 Year Triple Cask Matured Whisky 70cl

The Macallan 12 Year Triple Cask Matured Whisky Founded in 1824 (making it nearly 200 years old) The Macallan distillery is located in Craigellachie, Moray in Scotland. The Macallen is classed as the second or third best-selling single malt scotch (behind Glenfiddich, and perhaps Glenlivet). Initially The Macallan was only matured in oak sherry casks, which the distillery brought from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. However in 2004 they introduced the Fine Oak series (now known as the Triple Cask Matured range), which started mellowing whisky in bourbon oak casks as well as the classic sherry casks. With their Triple Cask Matured range, Macallan have created a series of single malts which are crafted in a triple cask combination of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. It is this combination of oak casks which ensure a smooth and delicate character which is bursting with citrus fruits, vanilla and fresh oak. The three individual spirits, are matured in the different casks for 12 years. After this period of resting, they are expertly blended to create the final single malt. (This release was also previously known as Fine Oak 12 Years Old - it's simply the name, bottle and packaging which have changed - the contents remain the same). The result is a whisky with a rich straw colour, and a complex nose. Vanilla, melon and lemon zest all coming through. On the palate this is well balanced, with lemon citrus, vanilla and nutmeg blending with light toasted oak. The finish brings lingering fruit notes of melon and papaya as well as fresh oak and a delicate spice. More from The Macallan Perfect Serve As with all whiskies, this is best drunk how you personally enjoy it. However the distillery recommends trying with a single large piece of ice. The large cube of ice melts slowly, diluting the drink less - preserving the light notes of this single malt and its gold colour from start to finish. Alternatively, try in the mix. It;s distinct and delicious flavours will add an interesting edge to your favourite whisky based cocktail.

Brenne French Single Malt Whisky Ten 70cl

Brenne French Single Malt Whisky Ten 70cl

Brenne French Single Malt Whisky Ten What sets Brenne apart from the crowd was its desire to show terroir (a sense of place found in the smell and taste) is possible when making single malt whisky. Brenne was founded by a former ballerina turned whisky entrepreneur (Allison Parc), and is crafted at a third-generation farm distillery located in Cognac, France. Brenne's Ten Limited edition is an annual release, which starts its life in the same fashion as the award winning original.  The process begins in the fields, where two types of heirloom barley are grown on the estate. These are the starting point for Brenne Whisky. The mash is created using a strain of yeast that has been used by the distillers family for generations. This is then twice-distilled in an alembic Charente still. After this initial process, Brenne Ten differs in that it is aged for a decade in a combination of new French Limousin oak and Cognac casks. As with the original, after resting the proofing is done using water from the Charente river before bottling. Just like the original, this attention to detail gives the enjoyer a true sense of French terroir in the taste and smell of the whisky.  And with the Ten limited edition Brenne really have created something special. Whilst it shares the Estate Cask’s DNA, it has a deeper, striking richness to it. On the palate, it still has their signature creamy fruit-forward taste, but with notes of dried fruits, chili, black pepper, spices, and dark chocolate. The Macallan 12 Year Double Cask Whisky 70cl

The Macallan 12 Year Double Cask Whisky 70cl

The Macallan 12 Year Double Cask Whisky Founded in 1824 (making it nearly 200 years old) The Macallan distillery is located in Craigellachie, Moray in Scotland. The Double Cask whiskies encompass part of their core range, and this 12 Year whisky falls into this category. The Macallan team ensure a mix of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks - which allow the indulgent, yet delicate flavours of the American oak to take centre stage. The more traditional Macallan character is however still present (rich fruit, sherry and spiced wood), but in a familiar backdrop.  This is a single malt with a delightful autumnal sunset colour to it. Exceptionally well balanced, fully rounded with flavours of honey, citrus and ginger. The nose has oak, creamy butterscotch and vanilla - as well as fruit from toffee apples and candied oranges. On the palate honey, citrus and wood spices and the ginger comes through, which are perfectly balanced against raisins and caramel. The finish leaves oak lingering on the palate along with a sweet warmth. More from The Macallan Perfect Serve As with all whiskies, this is best drunk how you personally enjoy it. However the distillery recommends trying with a single large piece of ice. The large cube of ice melts slowly, diluting the drink less - ensuring you are able to enjoy a chilled drinking experience whilst tasting every drop of flavour.

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky 70cl

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky 70cl

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky The history behind Nikka Coffey starts in the 1960's, and comes from the expertise of the Japanese Nikka Whisky company. They have decades of experience blending whiskies, and creating white spirits.  Whilst 'Nikka' is the name of the company, Coffey refers to the type of still used to create the base distillate. This is a traditional continuous still, which produces the signature grain whiskies of Nikka. These were imported from Scotland to Japan in 1963.  With their Malt Whisky, Nikka have gone somewhat against convention. Coffey stills are used by most distilleries only in creating grain whisky. But at theur Miyagikyo distillery they use their two Coffey stills to create this Malt whisky as well. Introduced in 2014, this is a whisky which is rich and full of flavour; definitely a welcome addition to their range of whiskies.  This is a light amber colour in the glass, with a nose full of butterscotch, vanilla and sweet malt. Hints of caramel and winter spiced fruit also come through. In the mouth the spiced fruits, vanilla and butterscotch also come through - as on the nose. These are joined by a maltiness, and nuts. It finishes with a medium length, not overly lingering in the mouth. The butterscotch, malt and fruit linger to the end. More from Nikka Perfect Serve This can be enjoyed neat on its own at room temperature, or over ice. We liked this best with a large single ice-cube as it released additional flavours.
