Wildjac Fresh Citrus Vodka 70cl

Wildjac Fresh Citrus Vodka 70cl

Wildjac Fresh Citrus Vodka Based in the Wyre Forest, to the South West of Birmingham in the UK, Wildjac strive to produce a range of sustainable and eco-friendly premium botanical spirits. To this end, they hand-craft their drinks using only 100% natural ingredients which (where possible) they source locally. With their Fresh Citrus Vodka, Wildjac have created a fresh and zesty vodka which is distilled (unusually) with Worcestershire (a county in the centre of the UK), Endeavour hops and Lemon Thyme. The other ingredients rounding out the botanical compliment are elderflower, orange peel, viola, lemon zest, pink grapefruit, coriander, lime, eucalyptus and bergamot. With a bright aroma full of citrus notes this is a joy to the nose. The citrus flavours continue throughout the drink, with crisp lemon freshness and a hint of warmth from the coriander. The finish is all about the citrus... with orange, grapefruit and lime all coming through. Read more about Wildjac Perfect Serve Deliciously crisp and refreshing this can be enjoyed ice cold neat, over some ice or with tonic or juice. However, it also works exceptionally well in cocktails - bringing a citrus edge. We love this in a Bees Knees cocktail. Take a shaker and add 1 tablespoon of honey, and pour over 50ml of warm (not boiling) water. Stir until disolved. Add 50ml of vodka, 50ml of fresh lemon juice and fill with ice. Shale well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a strip of lemon zest.

Dead Man's Fingers Hazelnut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Hazelnut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Hazelnut Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... "We looked at what everyone else was doing, then we did the opposite" Why Dead Man's Fingers?.... this was actually inspired by one of the most popular items on the menu. Crab is exceptionally popular, and the long, finger-like gills inside the crab are called ‘dead man’s fingers’ (folklore says if you eat them, you'll die..... this isn't true, they're just not the tastiest, so are removed and discarded). With their Hazelnut Rum, Dead Man's Fingers have created another delicious variation of their spiced rum. The nutty aroma of toasted hazelnuts, a hint of chocolate and sweet vanilla is hard to resist, and with the flavour mirroring the delicious aroma, the nutty smoothness continues. Finishing with a dusting of cocoa and of course the delicious spice, how can you resist? More from Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve This rum is a great all-rounder. For a refreshing long drink, pour 50ml Hazelnut Rum into a glass full of ice and top up with 150-200ml Fever-tree Distiller Cola - the vanilla in the cola works perfectly.  If you love milk, then this is ideal in a boozy milkshake (chocolate or vanilla) or add a splash to your latte. For the cocktail lovers, it's a great alternative in an Old fashioned. Add 50ml Hazelnut Rum with 10ml simple syrup and a dash or 2 of angostura bitters, and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Wessex English Sloe Gin 70cl

Wessex English Sloe Gin 70cl

Wessex English Sloe Gin Wessex was an anglo-saxon kingdom, which located in modern day southern england. Today, one of the current UK counties (Surrey) is located in this ancient kingdom. This is where the Wessex Distillery name comes from. A family owned craft distillery, Wessex use premium ingredients. Where possible they source these from the English countryside, and distill in their copper still. They distill with a simple belief: "We believe the best English gin is made when passionate gin lovers take a no fuss approach, and quality ingredients". To create their Sloe Gin, Wessex use only sloe berries sourced from the English countryside. They steep (soak) these with natural sugar, and their gin for over six months to impart all of their rich fruity tart juices. This combination, and the time Wessex take to make this ensures an extremely smooth sloe gin, with a stunning royal red complexion. The resulting flavour is worth the wait with subtle hints of almond. Good to know: As this is a natural product, which uses real sloes - sediment can be found in the bottle and is perfectly harmless. Just ensure you shake the bottle before pouring. More from the Wessex Distillery Perfect Serve Perfect served on its own, with a squeeze of lemon juice, and a slice of lemon to garnish. However, it can also be enjoyed with a mix of tonic water or ginger ale, we like Lobsters for this. Take a tall glass with some ice and add 50ml of the Sloe Gin. Gently pour over 100ml of your chosen mixer. Stir well, and garnish with a slice of lemon.

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... Keeping in the spirit of their previous creations, with their Coconut Rum Dead Man's Fingers have created a truly tropical inspired rum. Within this rum you won't only find elements of coconut. They have truly embraced the tropical flavours, and you'll also enjoy juicy mango, raisins, caramel and a slight citrusy trace of lime peel. This is then balanced by just the right amount of vanilla and a dash of clove. Read more about Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve Delicious on its own over ice, but also works well in the mix with cola. Take a large glass and fill with ice, and add 40ml of the rum. Gently pour in 60ml of your favourite cola (we think this works well with Fentimans Curiosity Cola). Garnish with slices of lemon and lime. Also great in a smoothie. Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... Keeping in the spirit of their previous creations, with their Pineapple Rum Dead Man's Fingers have kept with the ethos that "unusual tastes delicious". They took inspiration from their original Spiced rum and crafter a new variant. This one is a rum crafted with delicious sweet notes of roasted and candied pineapple. They've kept it well balanced, with hints of soft brown sugar, nutmeg and a whiff of aniseed and lime zest. This is a really refreshing rum, and works well on its own but particularly well in the mix. A perfect summer rum. More from Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve With the pineapple flavours, this works particularly well as a Dead Tropical cocktail. Take a large glass and will with ice cubes. Add 50ml of the rum and then gently pour over 200ml of Fever-Tree Premium Lemonade. Stir gently, and add the juice of a lime. Garnish with a sprig of mint, and a lime slice.

Mermaid Pink Gin 70cl

Mermaid Pink Gin 70cl

Mermaid Pink Gin Presented in a stunning "fish-scale" like bottle with a cork stopper, this gin has been hand-crafted on the Isle of Wight (a small island off the south coast of the UK) since 2014. The Isle of Wight Distillery take the ten ethically sourced botanicals used in the creation of Mermaid Gin, and add English Strawberries to make this delicious Pink Edition. To produce this, fresh Island strawberries, which are grown in the rich and fertile microclimate of the Arreton valley, are steeped in their Mermaid Gin for four days. It is then redistilled to create Mermaid Pink Gin, with its intensely aromatic, fresh flavour. Infusing fresh sun-kissed strawberries with their smooth yet complex gin creates a refreshingly layered serve, with a hint of sea air from fragrant rock samphire. The result is pleasantly aromatic and really refreshing. It's perfectly balanced, subtle yet vibrant, less sweet than most pink gins and with no added sugar. Did you know? The Isle of Wight Distillery care about the environment. In 2019, they completely removed plastic from their bottles. In 2021 they switched to only using 100% renewable energy suppliers at the distillery and in 2022 they achieved B Corp Certification - meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. More from The Isle of Wight Distillery Perfect Serve To ensure the straberry flavours are kept, use a neutral tonic such as Three Cents Tonic Water, serve with plenty of ice, and garnish with a fresh strawberry or two and a sprig of mint. If you would like to add a delicate floral tone (and keep the pink theme going), we would also recommend trying with Fentimans Rose Lemonade.

The Isle of Wight Distillery use ten ethically sourced botanicals in the creation of their original Mermaid Gin. Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky - Peated "From Wales to the world..." - Penderyn Distillery The Penderyn distillery is located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons (a National Park in Wales, UK). It was launched on St David's Day in 2004 (the patron saint of Wales), in the presence of King Charles III (then HRH Prince Charles, who was the Prince of Wales).  The location was chosen due to a fresh natural spring located in the Village. Extremely rare, pure and precious it was worn by the legendary Welsh princes of old. Their peated edition (as the name would suggest) has a medium peaty character. Interestingly, this is also certified as Kosher. The nose has a sweet aromatic smokiness, with vanilla, green apple and refreshing citrus. Chivas Regal 12 Year Whisky 70cl

Chivas Regal 12 Year Whisky 70cl

Chivas Regal 12 Years Whisky Produced by Chivas Brothers (which is owned by Pernod Ricard) at the Strathisla distillery in Keith, Moray in Speyside (Scotland, UK). This distillery was founded in 1786, and is the oldest continuously operating Highland distillery. Their 12 Years Aged Whisky is a blended Scotch Whisky, and the market-leader in the 12 year and over aged whisky category in Europe and Asia Pacific. It's made of a blend of malt and grain scotch whiskies and is their signature blend. It was also the first in the family of Chivas whiskies to have been released after prohibition. Known and loved flavours which are iconic in the Speyside region are at the heart of this whisky. Wild heather, sweet honey and crisp orchard fruits are the result of years of experience from the master blenders. This taste has been maintained since the pioneers of blended Scotch whisky (the founders of Chivas Regal, John and James Chivas) first started blending. Within the blend itself you will find the finest mail and grain whiskies. Strathisla single malt, Strathclyde single grain and yet more are blended to create a whisky known for its smoothness. A variety of different casks are also sourced for the maturation of the 12-year-old whiskies, again - ensuring the quality. On the nose this whisky gives the signature aromas, and is particularly aromatic. Wild herbs, heather, honey and orchard fruits all greet the nose. On the palate, this is rich, round and deliciously creamy. Honey and ripe pears come through, and are also joined by vanilla, hazelnuts and even butterscotch. The finish lingers and is particularly rich. As Chivas say.... 'Because blended is better, in life and in Scotch'. Read more about Chivas Regal Perfect Serve Whilst this can be enjoyed neat, a longer option can be really refreshing. For a classic Scotch & Soda, take a highball glass and add 50ml of the Chivas. Add 100ml of Fever-Tree Soda Water, and then carefully fill the glass with ice. Top up the glass with soda, and give a small stir to mix. Garnish with a slice of orange. 6 O'Clock Spiced Orange & Cranberry Gin 70cl

6 O'Clock Spiced Orange & Cranberry Gin 70cl

6 O'Clock Spiced Orange & Cranberry Gin 6 O’Clock Gin is a range of strikingly-smooth artisan gins, handcrafted in small batches, using traditional skills and only the best natural ingredients. It is a craft gin brand owned and operated by the family-run, artisan spirit company, Bramley & Gage, based in Thornbury on the outskirts of Bristol in the UK.  The 6 O’clock name was inspired by the long-held family tradition of indulging in the first G&T of the evening at 6 O’Clock; a very British custom with colonial roots, still enjoyed at the distillery and shared by gin-lovers all over the world. Whilst their Spiced Orange & Cranberry gin is perfect at Christmas, you can also embrace the festive spirit all year by enjoying it! It's created by using fresh orange peels, and tart cranberries. These are then allowed to steep in their classic botanical recipe. Joining the classic juniper nose are zesty citrus and warming spice aromas. On the palate the tart cranberries come through early, quickly joined by a sweetness from orange. These give a perfectly balanced fruitiness, which is followed by the festive spices of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. These build a complexity, with the juniper as a backbone to the flavours.  It leaves a pleasantly lingering warm finish, with a citrusy zestiness. More from 6 O'Clock Perfect Serve This is a truly versatile gin and it works equally well in the mix as it does in a classic gin & tonic.  For a deliciously festive inspired gin & tonic take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150ml of your chosen tonic. We like this with East Imperial Tonic Water, as the touch of cinnamon in the tonic works well with the gin. Stir gently and garnish with a twist of orange.  If you're looking for an alternative to mulled wine, gently warm some apple juice with a cinnamon stick in it. When warm (not boiling), pour over 50ml of the gin. A perfect way to warm yourself on a cold winter day.

Lighthouse Gin Hawthorne Edition 70cl

Lighthouse Gin Hawthorne Edition 70cl

Lighthouse Gin Hawthorne Edition Coming all of the way from New Zealand, you know this gin is going to be something special. Made on the southern tip of the North Island of New Zealand, this gin comes from Martinborough. It is here that the namesame of the gin comes from, a great cast-iron lighthouse , the Cape Palliser Lighthouse which is immortalised on every bottle. (It actually came all the way from the UK in 1896 when New Zealand was still a British colony). Lighthouse's Hawthorne Edition is their Navy-Strength edition, and is bottled at 57% abv. This increased alcohol content holds a great amount of the essential oils and flavourings in the gin, and so the flavours are really increased here.  Just like its brother, the Hawthorne edition uses the same unique blend of botanicals, which master distiller Neil Catherall spent years researching before establishing Lighthouse Gin in 2005. These botanicals include fresh zest from New Zealand Navel oranges and Yen Ben lemons, which really makes this a special gin. (The other botanicals they use are juniper berries, coriander seed, cinnamon, almonds, cassia bark, orris root and liquorice root.) The attention to details continues in the water they use. It travels from high in the Rimutaka Ranges, filtering down to a spring beside the breathtaking Wharekauhau Country Estate in Palliser Bay. The Hawthorne Edition takes the delicious flavours found in their classic gin and turns up the flavour dial on them. Whereas the classic is softer with the botanical notes, this is intense and peppery. However it still retains its citrus forward notes, and a strong earthy note from the piney juniper. The finish remains silky and smooth. More from Lighthouse Perfect Serve We love this in a classic gin & tonic, but its strength and flavour profile also really works when used in a Martini. For a delicious g&t, take a glass filled with ice and add 50ml of gin. Gently pour over 100 - 150ml of Fentimans Connoiseurs tonic (this deserves to be drunk stronger, and savoured slowly). Stir gently and garnish with a wedge of lemon and a few juniper berries.
