This time they have dialled up the citrus with Orange and created their latest taste sensation - Zesty Orange. Hand-crafted by the distilling team at Sipsmith they have taken fresh and dried orange peels, their award winning london dry gin and combined them with the zest from bergamot (another citrus fruit).  On the nose there is a delightfully fresh aroma, which is full of light floral citrus notes, as well as a touch of warming spice. On the palate there is the perfect blend of juniper, orange in the form of a sweet marmalade, and a touch of cinnamon which brings everything together. These are distilled from fine French grapes; a process inspired by over a century of wine-making expertise and craftsmanship.  Only the finest French grapes are selected and made into a wine. This wine is then distilled four times, and then, at the fifth distillation, Cîroc Vodka is created in a traditional, tailor-made copper pot still at the historic Distillerie de Maison Villevert - Chevanceaux in the South of France. This distillery has been in the family for over 500 years. With their strictly limited edition Summer Watermelon, Cîroc have created a truly refreshing flavoured vodka which is perfect for the summer. Their vodka is infused with a distinctive blend of ripe summer watermelons, and carefully selected flavours to give a vodka which is lusciously different and elegantly smooth! Thunder Really Pink Gin Thunder is well known for it's Toffee Vodka (arguably the "Best Toffee Vodka in the World"), now they have ventured 'to the other side' and have created what they believe is the "World’s Pinkest Gin". Created at Thames Distillers in London, their Master Distiller Charles Maxwell ensured this is a gin which would not just be known for its vibrant pink colour! Made from all natural ingredients, the delicious fruity taste comes from specially selected botanicals including juniper, coriander, cassia, liquorice, orange, angelica, elderberries, raspberries and redcurrants. Whilst pink and definitely fruity - this is still a gin at it's heart, and has a proud juniper note. This also lends a pine scent to the gin, along with a hint of spicy coriander.  However there is also no getting away from the fact this is definitely a pink gin! It's wonderfully fruity, which is thanks to the elderberries, raspberries and redcurrants (which also help with the colour). This is also vegan friendly, and uses sustainably sourced ingredients - which makes this, according to Thunder, a perfect 'guilt-free' boozy pleasure (and we don't disagree!) Monin Blue Curaçao La Liqueur As a young man (only 19), George Monin started selling branded wines and spirits in 1912. He chose the slogan "Passion for quality" and this is the ethos behind the company to this day. A french company, it is still family owned, and it's now the third generation leading the business. This delicious and well known liqueur is flavoured with the dried peel of the green oranges which originated in the West Indian island of Curaçao (from which the liqueur took its name). The drink immediately conjures up images of a tropical paradise, with beautiful beaches and delicious cocktails. Indeed, this drink is definitely a must-have in bars. The drink was discovered by accident by a Spanish family from Curaçao in the 19th century. It has a deep orange flavour, and can be made in a number of different colours - but it is perhaps the blue which is the best known. To make this at home, take a cocktail shaker filled with ice and add 20ml of Blue Curaçao and 50ml of Vodka (we like Tito's - but any quality vodka will work). Eagle Rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey This premium Bourbon is produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. This is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America.... so they know a thing or two about producing Bourbon Whiskey! The American bald eagle symbolised on the front gives an indication as to the contents of the bottle. This bird of prey is the symbol of American freedon and independence. It symbolises the rarity of the Bourbon, released only in limited quantities, and known as one of America's best bourbons. In fact it is the only Bourbon to receive a Double Gold medal five times at the renowned World Spirits Competition in San Francisco! There are a number of requirements for a Bourbon to be labelled as a 'straight bourbon'. They need to have been aged for a minimum of two years (and if under four, the age must be shown), and not have any added colouring, flavouring or other spirits. Eagle Rare has been aged for at least ten years, with each barrel being carefully selected   This attention to detail, and long ageing process ensures that this is definitely a rare, and delicious Bourbon.  It has a complex nose, with delicious aromas of toffee - joined by hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, and warming leather and oak. On the palate the taste is dry and bold. A delicate touch of red fruits and honey rounds out the candied almonds and distinctive rich cocoa. It finishes with lingering flavours of vanilla and more spice from the oak. Perfect Serve Whilst this is easy to enjoy as you would most bourbons, we liked this with just a dash of water. This seemed to open up the flavours - and brought the drink alive.

Hayman's Royal Dock Gin In 1863 when James Burrough, opened a small distillery in Chelsea, London. He experimented with a number of gin recipes, giving them names such as Burrough’s, Olde Chelsey, Beefeater and Black Cat. It was James who poineered the London Dry gin which is known and loved today (at that time, London's gin of choice was Old Tom). It was this which led to the development of the Beefeater Gin brand.... but it also spurred the Hayman's gin brand. The current Master Distiller of Hayman's (Christopher Hayman) is the great grandson of James Burrough. Their Royal Dock Gin (their Navy Strength Gin), was first supplied to the English Admiralty in 1863. As this is a stronger gin, bottled at 57% it's bracing, yet smooth and bright. Old Hunter's Bourbon Cask Reserve Rye Whisky It was over 500 years ago, in 1518 when the history behind Old Hunter's Reserve Rye Whisky started. This whisky is created in Czechia at the Palírna U Zeleného stromu (The Green Tree Distillery). This is the oldest distillery in Europe. Certainly a great start for a whisky. Unlike their classic Reserve Rye Whisky, the Bourbon Cask edition is aged exclusively in small (250 litre) ex-bourbon oak casks (known as Hogshead). These casks ensure a mild vanilla flavour with a woody finish. The ageing is done in the cellars of Prostějov 5 metres underground, where their Blend Master (Roman Petruš) oversees the distillates. This ageing process lasts for four years.  The copper coloured whisky brings sweet and fruity aromas to the nose. The palate delivers vanilla beans wrapped in honey, a touch of white pepper and fruity blackberries. However they suggest trying at room temperature, as this ensures all the aromas are awakened. The Famous Grouse Ruby Cask Whisky The blending of premium whisky isn't just something that's done, and it has been the foundation of The Famous Grouse craft since 1800. It's been Scotland's favourite whisky now for over 40 years. With their Ruby Cask Edition (from their Cask Series of Whiskies), The Famous Grouse have created a whisky with a delicious layer of rich fruitcake sweetness. They have taken their world reknowned (And Scotland's favourite) whisky and rested it in specially selected casks (which have been seasoned with port). The result is a whisky with a dark copper, and gold hued whisky. It has the classic smoothness of The Famous Grouse – with an soft aroma, which hints at a warming vanilla and hints of spice (cinnamon and cloves). The flavour is smooth and rich, with a mellowness. The seasoned barrels give a fruit cake flavour along with soft oak notes. It finishes as it starts, smooth with a delicious richness to it. Dead Man's Fingers Raspberry Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... "We looked at what everyone else was doing, then we did the opposite" Why Dead Man's Fingers?.... this was actually inspired by one of the most popular items on the menu. Crab is exceptionally popular, and the long, finger-like gills inside the crab are called ‘dead man’s fingers’ (folklore says if you eat them, you'll die..... this isn't true, they're just not the tastiest, so are removed and discarded). For this delicious variation, Dead Man's Fingers have blended their original spiced rum with sweet ripe raspberries, balanced with a hint of zesty citrus. More from Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve If you like a long drink, mix 50cl Raspberry Rum with 150-200ml Fentimns Curiosity Cola for a classic combination, or with Fentimans Sparkling Elderflower for something more fruity and a little fresher. 6 O'Clock Spiced Orange & Cranberry Gin 6 O’Clock Gin is a range of strikingly-smooth artisan gins, handcrafted in small batches, using traditional skills and only the best natural ingredients. It is a craft gin brand owned and operated by the family-run, artisan spirit company, Bramley & Gage, based in Thornbury on the outskirts of Bristol in the UK.  The 6 O’clock name was inspired by the long-held family tradition of indulging in the first G&T of the evening at 6 O’Clock; a very British custom with colonial roots, still enjoyed at the distillery and shared by gin-lovers all over the world. Whilst their Spiced Orange & Cranberry gin is perfect at Christmas, you can also embrace the festive spirit all year by enjoying it! It's created by using fresh orange peels, and tart cranberries. These are then allowed to steep in their classic botanical recipe. Joining the classic juniper nose are zesty citrus and warming spice aromas. On the palate the tart cranberries come through early, quickly joined by a sweetness from orange. These give a perfectly balanced fruitiness, which is followed by the festive spices of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. These build a complexity, with the juniper as a backbone to the flavours.  It leaves a pleasantly lingering warm finish, with a citrusy zestiness. Johnnie Walker King George V Whisky Whilst Jonnie Walker make a number of different whiskies, within their standard range it's their Blue Label which is the rarest. However, they also release a number of special editions too. When looking at these, their King George V whisky is a celebration of John Walker & Sons (as they were known) receiving their first Royal Warrant in 1934 by King George V. To create this the Johnnie Walker makers have hand-selected some of Johnnie Walker's rarest stocks, and only those which existed during King George V's reign. This results in a truly special, elegant blend made with whiskys including Cardhu, Lochnagar, and irreplaceable casks from the now-closed Port Ellen distillery On the nose the sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen greet you. This is followed with notes of orange, raisins, figs and warm cinnamon. On the palate the flavours from Speyside and Highland whiskies of abundant spice and dried fruits are balanced with enticing vanilla. As this warms in thr mouth layers of sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts are released. The finish brings Port Ellen forward again, giving a coastal smokiness which gathers momentum through the extended finish. A mix of true craftsmanship and fun vibes, the Rummieclub is Judith and Martijn. From making the rum, to bottling and putting on the labels, it's all done by them. Not only do they make great rums, they are keen for everyone to experience how versatile, diverse and interesting the spirit is. Why not see for yourself. The unaged Overproof White Rum packs a punch at 58% abv. After trying a few different strengths, Judith and Martijn agreed that at 58% it opened up the rum just enough and still allowed the favour profile to come through in both aroma and taste. It has a strong, fruity flavour from red fruits and raisins and a creaminess from butter. Knob Creek Rye Whiskey Created by the same distillery as Jim Beam, Knob Creek's Rye Whiskey was released in 2012. To create their Rye they age it in deeply charred barrels, which imparts the signature Knob Creek flavour. After the seven years the optimal flavour is reached - blending the sweet notes from the barrel with the spicy rye character. This is a perfect introduction to rye's for the classic bourbon drinker - easily earning its place in your drinks cabinet! On the nose there are rich notes of caramel, fresh ginger and herbal notes which join the robust rye. Still aged in oak, a spiciness also comes through from this. On the palate there is the traditional spiciness from rye which coats the mouth perfectly. Whilst defined, it's not at all over-powering, and also brings through vanilla, creamy butter and brown sugar. Aber Falls Single Malt Welsh Whisky Located in North Wales (UK), in a small village called Abergwyngregyn the distillery sits at the base of the famous Aber Falls (a waterfall). It's from this the distillery get's its name. The distillery is also the first to create whisky in North Wales in over 100 years. Proud to be Welsh, they use as many Welsh ingredients as they can (including Welsh Barley), and create their whisky using water which has been filtered through the Snowdonia Mountains. With their latest expression they have ensured a deliciously creamy malt. They mature the whisky in a combination of Bourbon, Virgin Oak, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. With its bright, amber gold colour, this whisky doesnt disappoint either with aroma or flavour. On the nose there is distinct vanilla infused toffe, with dried fruits and a hint of clove spice. On the palate this is deliciously creamy and the time on sherry casks comes through, with sweet sherry flavours coming to the fore with dried fruit and spice. Forest fruits, an earthiness almost like coffee and dark chocolate also come through. A touch of zesty orange brightens the palate before leaving to a finish which retains this creaminess as well as dried fruits and a soft delicate spice. Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey The original creator of Bulleit Bourbon, Augustus Bulleit created the first batch of Bulleit bourbon around 1830 (according to his great-great-grandson Tom Bulleit). Now owned by Diageo, it is produced in two distilleries in Kentucky (one in Lebanon and the other in Shelbyville). The inspiration remains from the old family recipe though. It is characterised by having a higher than usual ratio of rye in its mash bill (at around 28%). The remainder being 68% corn and 4% malted barley. It's then aged for at least six years. This higher rye ratio gives a bold, spicy character to the Bourbon - whilst remaining distincively clean and smooth. This amber coloured bourbon opens up with a bright aroma, a gentle spice, orange zest and sweet oaky vanilla aromas. The palate is smooth, and has more orange notes joined by maple, oak and nutmeg. A hint of tobacco leaf lingers through to the finish, which is long, dry and smoothly spicy. More from Bulleit Perfect Serve Easily enjoyed straight up, or with ginger ale - we particularly liked this mixed with cola. Take a highball glass, or mason jar and add a few cubes of ice. Pour in 35ml of the bourbon and 15ml of fresh lemon juice. Stir gently, then fill the glass with your choice of cola (we like Franklin & Sons Cola). Garnish with a wedge of fresh lime.

Old Hunter's Reserve Rye Whisky It was over 500 years ago, in 1518 when the history behinf Old Hunter's Reserve Rye Whisky started. This whisky is created in Czechia at the Palírna U Zeleného stromu (The Green Tree Distillery). This is the oldest distillery in Europe. Certainly a great start for a whisky. Their Old Hunter's Rye is a unique Czech whisky which is aged in American White oak barrels. This ageing is done in the cellars of Prostějov 5 metres underground, where their Blend Master (Roman Petruš) oversees the distillates. Their ageing process of their Reserve edition lasts for four years.  This ageing, along with their original recipe (which has remained a secret for centuries) ensures the whisky acquires a delicate and harmonious taste with a delicious fruity finish. The inviting copper coloured whisky opens up with an aroma which is sweet and well rounded with a light woodiness to it. On the palate it opens up with a rich, ripe flavour. The wood notes come through slowly, and linger to a sweet warm finish of orchard fruits. More from Old Hunter's Perfect Serve The distiller's don't believe there is 'one' correct way to enjoy their Rye. However they suggest trying at room temperature, as this ensures all the aromas are awakened. Or they reckon that enjoying with a little water brings the flavours forward and a little more pronounced.

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin (Ceramic Bottle) Created at the edge of a lake, in a small Irish town called Drumshanbo (from where the gin gets it's name). It's here you will find The Shed Distillery. This is a gin which is far from ordinary, they slow-distil their gin using some of natures finest oriental botanicals, along with gunpowder tea. The bottle itself hints at the creativity behind this gin. Showing the Jackalope, a creature of mystery and wonder. It is the mythological progeny of a jackrabbit, and an antelope. Apparently conceived during a lightning storm - the Jackalope appears in Drumshanbo at will.... like a dream. There one minute, gone the next in a flurry of feet and antlers. Drumshanbo is about bringing together previously unrelated things, for the first time - but likely not the last. Seeing possibilities in the unusual. Its for this reason the Jackalope has become the symbol of the remarkable Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin. A whole range of botanicals are used in the creation of this gin, inspired by the travels of PJ Rigney, the Master Distiller. Using juniper, coriander, star anise, orris carrot, chinese lemon, grapefruit, kafir lime and (as the name suggests) gunpowder tea. The gunpowder tea is a green tea which has been slowly dried, and gives a bold, bright and slightly spiced freshness to the gin. The nose on this gin is refreshingly light, and citrus-forward. There is a citrus zest note which blends with herbaceous juniper, as well as a little juniper. On the palate this is a blast! It explodes with flavours, with citrus dominating. Grapefruit really shines through here. Mid palate the juniper and tea come through, along with a bright note from juniper. The gin finishes quieter, slightly sweet with herbal notes. Anise, cardamom are subtle, and lead into meadowsweet - which lends a delicate honey vanilla nuance.  Whilst this has a rather eccentric blend of botanicals, they all work exceptionally well together, and the gin is a very balanced one. Penderyn Legend Single Malt Welsh Whisky "From Wales to the world..." - Penderyn Distillery The Penderyn distillery is located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons (a National Park in Wales, UK). It was launched on St David's Day in 2004 (the patron saint of Wales), in the presence of King Charles III (then HRH Prince Charles, who was the Prince of Wales).  The location was chosen due to a fresh natural spring located in the Village. They also use a unique copper single-pot still, which was designed by Dr David Faraday (a relative of the famous 19th Century Scientist). This was installed in 2000 and produces a spirit at 92%, which is an industry high. Penderyn state this is one of the reasons that their whiskies are light, fruity and full of flavour. As if this wasn't enough to ensure a world-class product, they hired Dr Jum Swan, a Scottish Whisky expert as their Master Distiller. Things have gone from strength to strength since their launch, and they have won over 100 Double Gold / Gold / Masters awards, and is available in over 50 countries the world over, including the key markets for whisky of France, Germany, the USA and China.  The Red Dragon is found on the national flag of Wales, and the Royal Welsh badge has the motto "Y ddraig goch ddyry cychwyn" (The Red Dragon Inspires Action). The dragon features in many Welsh tales, and was the historic banner for the legendary Welsh Princes. It is from this that Penderyn have taken inspiration for their Dragon series of whiskies, which the Legend falls into.  Legend is a Madeira-finish single malt whisky.  On the nose you are greeted with fresh crisp apples and citrus fuits. These merge enticingly with creamy fudge and dried fruits. The palate is exceptionally smooth, bringing the freshness hinted at on the nose as well as rich dried fruits. Whilst full of flavour, its delicate and has a sweetness to it, which ends in a hint of bitterness which ensures the overall drink retains a refreshing quality. The finish leaves a lingering wamth of rich madeira fruit cake.  More from Penderyn Perfect Serve We particularly liked this at room temperature with a splash of water, but as with all good whiskies, enjoy as you want to!

Dewar's White Label Whisky Originally founded in 1846 by John Dewar, the Dewars brand is now a globally renowned blended Scotch Whisky. Their Iconic White Label whisky was created the year after their Aberfeldy distillery was opened in 1899 by their first Master Blender, A.J.Cameron. It soon became their best-selling variation.  The Aberfeldy distillery remains in production today 125 years later. It's located in the beautiful Perthshire Countryside, at the foot of the Scottish Highlands. It is this distillery which providies the whisky at the heart of the White Label blend, amongst a total of 40 different whiskies. Fun fact: The Celtic Truth knot found on the bottles, is formed of three interlocking D's - from the three founders: John, Tommy and John Alexander Dewar On the nose there is a honey sweetness, joined by peach and apples as well as a little wood and hay. The palate is smooth, with a medium depth to it. A smoky oakiness comes through which is joined by a vanilla toffee sweetness and a touch of honey.  The finish is long but doesn't linger and brings cut herbs and more honeyed sweetness.  Meer van Dewar's Perfect Serve Delicious savoured however you enjoy your whisky, and is perfect with a drop of water or over ice.  However it was Tommy Dewar (one of the founders), which created the 'Original Highball' in 1892 whilst in New York. He asked for his whisky to be served in a tall glass, along with soda and ice - and so the drink was born.

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish Founded in 1849 by William Larue Weller, Rebel have been defying trends since the very beginning. At that time the everyone was creating bourbon using a rye mashbill. They decided to do things differently, and pioneered wheat-based bourbon.  Now, over 170 years later, they continue to defy trends - whilst also winning awards with their wheated recipe.   There are a number of requirements for a Bourbon to be labelled as a 'straight bourbon'. They need to have been aged for a minimum of two years (and if under four, the age must be shown), and not have any added colouring, flavouring or other spirits For their Cognac Barrel Finish (which is produced exclusively for the EU market), they take their original Rebel Straight Bourbon (which is aged for at least 4 years in American Oak), and give it a final ageing in cognac barrels for a further 6 months. This adds additional depth and flavour to the already delicious Bourbon! It's colour is a bright amber, which gives aromas full of ripe fruite and berries and sweet honey. Vanilla, caramel and a hint of oak come through too. The flavour remains full, like the original. Dried fruits, rich plums, sultanas and vanilla all come through. It finishes with a defined warmth and lingers pleasantly on the palate. More from Rebel Perfect Serve This is deliciously smooth, and we feel best enjoyed neat, on the rocks (so as to appreciate the nuances from the cognac barrel finish).
