Brenne French Single Malt Whisky Ten 70cl

Geschnapst Peer Fruitbrandewijn 35cl

Geschnapst Peer Fruitbrandewijn 35cl

Geschnapst Peer Fruitbrandewijn Fruit Brandy, or Schnapps, is something that is drunk often in the alpine countries (where it's enjoyed après-ski) and in Central and Eastern Europe. In these countries, quite frequently it's even distilled at home (almost every family has someone who distils). It's due to this that Nada knew Schnapps. Coming from a mixed Slovenian / Dutch background, she frequently visited her fathers family in Slovenia. Here hospitality is a way of life, where food and drink is enjoyed, and is part of their DNA. Even Nada's cousin produces his own drink for the family to enjoy. When looking for a great Schnapps she could enjoy in the Netherlands, Nada couldn't find anything that compared to what she enjoyed whilst with her family. So she decided to take matters into her own hands. She managed to get the (secret) family recipe, and then went about sourcing quality ingredients and the right people to help her create something special in the Netherlands. To create her Pear Schapps requires fruit, and a lot of it. Nada made a concious decision to utilise 'ugly' fruit. Fruit that has all the taste and flavour that's needed, but might be misshapen, or blemised on the outside.  For this reason, supermarkets aren't interested in it - so often it goes to waste. The taste for juice, or schnapps though is absolutely perfect. Dutch conference & sweet sensation pears are used to create this drink. When combined in the correct ratio, this gives the correct flavour profile. The fruit is juiced, and then allowed to ferment. Once this has been done, its distilled and the fermented juice is turned into a highly alcoholic drink. This is then blended with fresh water, until an abv of 40% is reached. At this point, it's ready.  Good to know: Not only does Nada ensure that fruit which would otherwise go to waste is used, but the distillery also uses 100% green electricity.  The resulting schnapps is a joy to drink. It has a distinct aroma of pears, and this carries through into the taste.  Perfect Serve This can be enjoyed straight up (at room temperature) on its own as an apertitif, a digestif or mixed with a quality tonic as a longer drink. (Nada recommends using a shot or grappa glass)

Hayman's Gently Rested Gin 70cl

Hayman's Gently Rested Gin 70cl

Hayman's Gently Rested Gin In 1863 when James Burrough, opened a small distillery in Chelsea, London. He experimented with a number of gin recipes, giving them names such as Burrough’s, Olde Chelsey, Beefeater and Black Cat. It was James who poineered the London Dry gin which is known and loved today (at that time, London's gin of choice was Old Tom). It was this which led to the development of the Beefeater Gin brand.... but it also spurred the Hayman's gin brand. The current Master Distiller of Hayman's (Christopher Hayman) is the great grandson of James Burrough. For their Gently Rested Gin Hayman's looks again to history. Gin always used to be rested in casks during the Gin Palace heyday of the 1800's, and so again Hayman's repeats history and uses old Scotch Whisky barrels to rest their gin in for a period of three weeks. The result of this short (gentle) resting period lifts the botanical flavours in the gin, enhancing the peppery spice notes.  The result is a really smooth, well-rounded balanced gin. It has peppery and spicy notes from the dominant botanicals – juniper and coriander – which add to its full-flavoured individuality. Read more about Hayman's Perfect Serve Easily enjoyed with a tonic, however we really liked the spicy peppery notes paired with a fiery Ginger Ale. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150ml of ginger ale (we liked Fentimans Ginger Ale with this), and garnish with a slice of orange. This also works well in the mix, try in a martini paired with grapefruit bitters.

Haymans English Cordial Gin 50cl

Haymans English Cordial Gin 50cl

Hayman's Exotic Citrus Gin 70cl

Hayman's Exotic Citrus Gin 70cl

Hayman's Rare Cut Gin 70cl

Hayman's Rare Cut Gin 70cl

Colombia is filled with incredibly diverse pockets of culture and is a melting pot of races, music, dances La Hechicera is a naturally 'unpolished' rum, which means it has not been rounded up with additives or sugar, its smoothness and flavour are the result of the noble wood it is aged in. Pusser's Rum Gunpowder Proof Spiced 70cl

Pusser's Rum Gunpowder Proof Spiced 70cl

Pusser's Rum Gunpowder Proof Spiced Pusser’s Rum is the original Royal navy Rum, distilled in wooden stills located in Guyana. It is the only rum blended to the Admiralty's exact specifications, a specification that was last used on July 31, 1970, ending a 300 year old tradition. The blend is rich and full-bodied and aged for a minimum of 3 years in charred oak bourbon barrels. It is also exceptionally smooth due to its wooden 'pot stilled' heritage. These stills provide a deep flavour, having absorbed unique and organic flavours over many decades of use, something that a mass produced rum would struggle to replicate. The rich flavour is all natural, with no added artifical colourings or flavouring and made using molasses, made from sugar cane grown in the "Valley of Navy Rum". This is the nickname for the Demerara River Valley, a region that once had 300 sugar cane estates, all of which had their own distillery, and an area celebrated for its production and distribution of sugar since the 1600's.  For their Gunpowder Proof Spiced Rum, they enhace the flavours with a higher abv of 54.5% and also add a delicious combination of spices. It has the same dark coppery amber colour and intense aroma of the Gunpowder Proof rum. You are greated by the strong smelling molasses, which are joined by banana, chocolate and sweet vanilla. Again there is a whiff of oak from the barrel and the spiced aromas of cinnamon and mild ginger. On the palate, the flavours are enhanced by the higher abv compared to the lower proof Pussers Blue Label. It is full bodied, and yet despite its strength, has a smooth and mellow finish. Did you know? To test the strength of the sailors daily tots of rum on the Navy ships, a little gunpowder was added. If it ignited, then it was 'at proof'. If it didn't, then the ships 'Pusser' (the purser aboard ship)  might find themselves tossed overboard.  More from Pusser's Rum Perfect Serve Pusser's Rum Gunpowder Proof Rum can be sipped neat with or withour ice, or in the mix as a classic Spiced Rum and Cola. For the cocktail lovers, how about a Cinnamon Rum Iced Coffee. Stir 50ml Pussers Gunpowder Prrof Spiced Rum, 120ml espresso and 10ml cinnamon syrup in a glass with ice. Top with 30ml Irish Cream Liqueur and enjoy.

Tënu Gin - Le Bon Tikka Barrel Aged Gin 50cl

Tënu Gin - Le Bon Tikka Barrel Aged Gin 50cl

Tënu Gin - Le Bon Tikka Barrel Aged Gin Founded in 2014, Tenu Spirits was created by Chef Antto Melasniemi and Artist Klaus Haapaniemi. They had a shared desire to explore, be excited and ensure quality drinks - and so they decided to create their own drinks brand. The original Tënu Gin was created for a pop-up restaurant in London. After proving hugely succesful, they decided to launch it into the wider market. Like a lot of great things, the birth of Le Bon Tikka gin started by accident. During the creation of a test batches of Tënu Gin, Bilberries were substituted for the usual lingonberries. Initially this was too heavy and not found to be acceptable on the palate. However, it did bear some promise - so it was decided to allow it to age in new oak barrels for a period of 6 months. They tried a number of different barrels, and the results varied. Some too vanilla, some far too woody. However, upon blended they found a perfect mix - and Le Bon Tikka was born! Only 1800 bottles of this have been created - so a definite limited edition! Fun fact: Tikka means woodpecker in Finnish - hence the name! It can also be found on the label along with the bilberries. Whilst they keep the full list of botanicals a secret, it is know to include juniper berries, bilberries (only wild, handpicked Finnish ones), wild rose petals (sourced from the Finnish archipelago), orris root, coriander seeds and lemon peel. With a stronger abv this is a gin which is truly packed full of flavour. There is a lot of woody juniper in this, which is joined by oaky spice and hints of sweet stem ginger. A sweet caramel also comes through which evolves in the mouth to floral lavender, warm vanilla and interestingly a clean citrus finish. More from Tënu Spirits Perfect Serve According to the creators, Le Bon Tikka can be enjoyed neat or with ice. However, if you're not so keen on such strong spirits enjoyed neat it also makes an absolutely delicious gin & tonic. Try this with Thomas Henry Tonic Water. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150ml of the tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin Created in 'The Distillery at Dowsett's Farm', Copper in the Clouds gin is a small company creating premium gin's in Hertfordshire. Historically, Hertfordshire (a county just to the north of London) was the hunting ground of the British Royal family, and is still relatively rural with numerous forests. They create their gins using locally sourced premium wheat spirit. Where possible, they use locally grown and sourced botanicals, and have even started growing some of their own botanicals on the farm in their recently created botanical garden. This attention to detail ensures a quality, and unique range of gins which they can rightfully be proud of! Each of their bottles is a piece of art itself. With this gin, they capture a marmalade cat (ginger) lying on a slice of bread peeling oranges - along with a rabbit and a jar of marmalade. This isn't just called a Marmalade gin due to the citrus uses in its creation, they actually use real marmalade! This is created using by the team at the distillery themselves. They use pink grapefruits, seville oranges and the peel from blood oranges in it's creation. This gives the gin a rich flavour, with an orange colour to it. This is entirely natural, and comes from the marmalade itself. As well as the marmalade, the other botanicals include juniper berries, coriander seed, licorice and angelica root, as well as more citrus flavours from orange and lemon peel. As you would expect, the flavour and aroma is sweet and zesty, exactly as you would expect from marmalade! More from Copper in the Clouds Perfect Serve As this is already a sweeter gin, we recommend enjoying with a lighter tonic. Fentimans Naturally Light Tonic works really well. However, if you want to increase the citrus flavours, try using their Valencian Orange Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a fresh orange wheel. It also works well in a spritz, when mixed with soda water, or even Prosecco. Truly versatile, it also adds an enticing edge to cocktails.

The House of Botanicals Maple Old Tom Gin 70cl

The House of Botanicals Maple Old Tom Gin 70cl

The House of Botanicals Maple Old Tom Gin The House of Botanicals was founded in 2009 in the centre of Aberdeen in North East Scotland. It's a certified B Corp™ and is owned and operated by a small husband and wife team of Adam & Steffie Elan-Elmegirab. They use a combination of traditional and modern production techniques, as well as British grain spirit as the alcoholic base of their drinks. They then source botanicals from across the globe, and produce entirely with natural ingredients - refraining from using artificial flavours, preservatives or colours. Fun Fact: The coat of Arms on the bottles is a homage to both the Aberdeen and London City Coats of Arms. The Black panther adds a reference to the hip-hop music listened to by the team on most days - as well as the original Old Tom branding which would commonly feature a Black Cat. As part of their exploration of global flavours, in July 2018 The House of Botanicals launched their Maple Old Tom. This was initially due to be only a limited edition, with just 1112 bottles produced - and was introduced at the Aberdeen Gin Fest. Due to its popularity, it was relaunched in March 2019 - becoming a permanent addition to their range. Whilst new to the House of Botanicals range, the production of Maple Gin goes back over 100 years. It was originally created by the Buffalo Distilling Company of New York between 1893 and 1918 (prior to the temperance movement and then prohibition. For their edition, the House of Botanicals use the same base as their Classic Old Tom. However they then lightly sweeten it with maple syrup (less than 25g per litre, so as not to 'over-sweeten'). The result is a delicious straw coloured gin. The nose has juniper and bright citrus notes - joined by piney juniper. On the palate there is a buttery mouthfeel, with bright and fresh piney juniper. This is perfectly balanced with hints of sweet maple, fudge, warm orange citrus, vanilla, and chamomile. The finish is long, clean and invigorating with a hint of butterscotch More from The House of Botanicals Perfect Serve This is a deliciously versatile Old Tom, which works well with a simple mixer (such as tonic water, ginger ale and even grapefruit soda), but also in cocktails. Try in a Perfect Lady, Gin Basil Smash, Jasmine, Gibson, Fiddy-Fiddy or Maple Buck.

The House of Botanicals ABZ Dry Gin 70cl

The House of Botanicals ABZ Dry Gin 70cl

The House of Botanicals ABZ Dry Gin The House of Botanicals was founded in 2009 in the centre of Aberdeen in North East Scotland. Whilst perhaps best known for their delicious Old Tom gins, they have now released their first non Old Tom, with their ABZ (the Aberdeen Airport Code) Dry Gin. This is made using a two stage process. Initially they use a traditional copper pot distillation of juniper berries, angelica root, orris root, coriander seed, cassia bark, almond, orange peel and lemon peel. After this, a second stage maceration is used with saffron threads, fennel seeds and just a hint of strawberry. The second preocess used preserves the more delicate flavours in these botanicals, which would be lost using traditional distillation. The result is a gin which has a light peach colour to it, with an aroma of piney juniper,  butterscotch, lemon and an underlying note of cracked black pepper. On the palate this has a rich, creamy mouthfeel - with the juniper and pine giving a strong back note to the gin. Bright citrus, warm sweet anise, and creamy strawberry lead into a finish of cracked black pepper which enlivens the taste buds. More from The House of Botanicals Perfect Serve This works perfectly as a long drink, mixed with either a dry tonic (such as Three Cents Dry Tonic), or Fever-Tree's Sicillian Lemonade. With either option take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a thin slice of strawberry. It also works exceptionally well in the mix, in cocktails such as the Dry Martini, Gimlet, Southside or Gin Fizz.

House of Botanicals Old Tom Raspberry Gin was officially launched in June 2019 as a seasonal exclusive, using locally grown Scottish raspberries, available from June to September. This is a true Old Tom Gin, using their original Old Tom as a base - with a subtle hint of natural raspberries alongside the other botanicals. Due to the use of natural raspberries, there is a delicate pink hue to the gin. The nose brings aromas of candied citrus as well as piney juniper. As can be expected, raspberries also come through - along with a hint of black pepper. On the palate the juniper and pine continues to dominate joined with citrus and spice, all enveloped in a creamy mouthfeel. This leads into a floral and tart raspberry finish, which is long and fragrant More from The House of Botanicals Perfect Serve This is a deliciously versatile Old Tom, which works well with a simple mixer (such as tonic water, or ginger ale), but also in cocktails. How about a Raspberry Basil Smash Cocktail? Add 10 - 12 fresh basil leaves to an empty cocktail shaker and muddle to release the oils. Add 60ml of the gin, 22.5ml of Fresh Lemon Juice and 12.5ml of Simple Syrup. Fill with ice and shake well for ten seconds. Stain over fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a fresh basil leaf.

The House of Botanicals Classic Old Tom Gin 70cl

The House of Botanicals Classic Old Tom Gin 70cl

The House of Botanicals Classic Old Tom Gin The House of Botanicals werd in 2009 opgericht in het centrum van Aberdeen in Noordoost-Schotland.
