Monin Elderflower Syrup As a young man (only 19), George Monin started selling branded wines and spirits in 1912. He chose the slogan "Passion for quality" and this is the ethos behind the company to this day. A french company, it is still family owned, and it's now the third generation leading the business. There is an English saying that "Summer isn't here until the Elder is fully in flower, and that it ends once the berries are fully ripe". It is the creamy-white flowers themselves from the Elder which have a fragrant aroma and tart, fruity flavour.  When combined by Monin, it creates a syrup with a strong floral aroma with hints of honey, and a tart and fruity taste. Made with the same principles behind their original Le Gin, their new Limited Edition Carmina blend is dedicated to red fruits. It contains a delicious summery bouquet, which is pleasing all year round. Combining a number of different fruits and flowers they blend these with juniper and cider apple varieties which Normandy is renowned for. They have used raspberry, blackcurrant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon and orange. Sierra Reposado Tequila First introduced to the German market in 1981, Sierra Tequila quickly became the market leader in what is the world's third largest Tequila market (after Mexico and the USA). It is produced by the family run Destilería Sierra Unidas on an historic hacienda in Guadalajara - the capital of Tequila! It is produced with hand-picked Blue Weber Agave, and is double distilled. Ardbeg An OA Single Malt Scotch Whisky The Ardbeg distillery is located on the south side of the Isle of Islay, in the small settlement of Ardbeg from which it takes its name. It has been producing whisky since 1798, but only began commercial production in 1815. Having changed ownership over the years, it is now owned by the LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) group. It is renowned for producing a heavily peated Islay Whisky. The distillery themselves state "Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all". They use malted barley which is sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen (also on the Island of Islay). Interesting Fact: The brand name Ardbeg is an anglicisation of 'An Àird Bheag' which is Scottic Gaelic, and means 'The Small Promontory'. The inspiration for Ardbeg An OA comes from the Mull of Oa. Gepgraphically, the Distillery is sheltered from the harshest excesses of the mighty Atlantic by the Mull of Oa. This is a rounded peninsula in the south of Islay.  It got its name from the use of the distillery's newly-established Gathering Vat. Within this vat, Ardbeg gather whiskies from several different cask types. These include sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy Virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks (as well as others). Within the vat these blend perfectly, resulting in a whisky with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. The result is a whisky with a light gold colour. On the nose this is sweet and creamy, with butterscotch, tobacco, fennel and boiled sweets all coming through. Citrus is present, but more subtle.  The hallmark Ardbeg peat is definitely here, in the flavour - but slightly more mellow (still definitely a peaty whisky though). Dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour The finish is lingering and seductive. Whilst it has an intensity, somehow this remains gentle, with flavours of aniseed, hickory and distant subtle smoke. Kyrö Wood Smoke Malt Rye Whisky What started as just a dream in a sauna, became the first Finnish single-batch rye whisky made from 100% malted Finnish wholegrain rye. They admit that they didn't have any idea how to make whisky the 'right' way, so instead they did it 'their' way, and we are very happy they did. This sauna custom has now gone on to inspire Kyrö further, with the oldest type of sauna - the smoke sauna. To create their Wood Smoke whisky, the Kyrö distillery follow an old northern custom. They introduce the rye to Alder smoke, in a 100-year old 'riihi' barn. The Alder wood produces aromas reminiscent of campfire smoke and smoked ham. Whilst delicate, it supports the rye flavours, and results in a balanced, yet complex whisky. The whisky itself, once made, it matured in ex-bourbon, French oak and New American white oak barrels.  It gives rich aromas of vanilla, caramel, pepper and sweet smoke. These are complemented on the palate with flavours of buttery rye bread, mild honey, a delicate soft smoke and oaky spice which lingers pleasantly. They work with only the best naturally sourced ingredients from around the world and no artificial flavourings or sweeteners to create mixers that do justice to the world's finest spirits. This Soda Water is Fever-Tree's simplest product. They use natural spring water (with a low mineral content) and then carbonate it with a high level of carbonation with lots of very fine bubbles (a higher than usual level of carbonation), they then add just the right amount of bicarbonate of soda, which is used to add a minerality that enhances naturally occuring flavours in the premium spirits it's paired with. Filliers Dry Gin 28 Tangerine Taking their classic Dry Gin 28, Filliers have blended this with delicious mediterranean citrus from valencia to create this gin. They only use tangerines which are harvested between November and January. This ensures they have had the most time in the sun ripening, ensuring the best taste. Distilled up to five times to ensure the best quality of gin, this really is a deliciously refreshing addition to the Filliers range. Whilst it is still a spicy gin (it used the classic gin as a base), the spice notes take more of a backing role - with the citrus elements really being the star of this gin. This is a well rounded gin that generously highlights the different citrus nuances of the tangerines. Whilst its easily enjoyed the whole year round, it definitely makes the perfect summer drink. Talisker Skye Whisky 70cl

Talisker Skye Whisky Produced on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, the Talisker distillery is the only functional single malt whisky distillery to be found there. Released in 2015, and named after the Island on which the distillery is located, Talisker's Skye whisky is an easier drink than the classic Talisker. It takes the classic rugged notes found in Talisker whiskies, softening them. On the nose this has the typical Talisker aroma, with smokiness and salty notes which are reminiscent of the Isle of Skye. A hint of toffee and vanilla comes through from the oak barrel aging. As mentioned, on the pallet this is a smoother, less rugged drink than the classic 10yr. The smoke and salt come through, a hint of peat as well as a little sweetness - and it wouldn't be a Talisker without the classic black pepper. It has a fulfilling mouthfeel to it, and a little hint of rich stewed fruits. The finish is a little shorter than some of the other Taliskers, with the smokiness remaining through to the end. More from Talisker Perfect Serve Whist this has a degree of peatiness to it, its an easy drink - so we would recommend this one is enjoyed on its own. If adding ice or water, we'd suggest a single cube, or a small splash of water.

Haymans English Cordial Gin In 1863 when James Burrough, opened a small distillery in Chelsea, London. He experimented with a number of gin recipes, giving them names such as Burrough’s, Olde Chelsey, Beefeater and Black Cat. It was James who poineered the London Dry gin which is known and loved today (at that time, London's gin of choice was Old Tom). It was this which led to the development of the Beefeater Gin brand.... but it also spurred the Hayman's gin brand. The current Master Distiller of Hayman's (Christopher Hayman) is the great grandson of James Burrough. With a limited release of only 1.500 bottles, Hayman's English Cordial Gin is a gin crafted to reflect the style of gins enjoyed in the 1800's. Full of flavour, its warm, spicy with a herbal earthiness to it - it's smooth and perfect for the cooler months. The inspiration was found in old archives, which showed that Coridal Style gins were the most luxurious found at the time.  With such a limited release, grab a bottle whilst you can! More from Haymans Perfect Serve This is a perfect gin for for mixing in cocktails, as the flavours hold their own. However due to its incredible smoothness, it also makes a great sipping gin. However, as with all Hayman's Gin's, it also makes a fantastic Gin & Tonic, and we love this with a classic Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a few juniper berries.

The peatiness is perfectly balanced with the natural sweetness of the malt. This results in a whisky which has a light gold colour, and an intense aroma. Smoky fruit, peat and lemon & lime are all wrapped in a background of dark chcoloate. Menthol, and hints of black pepper also come through. The flavour ensures there is no doubt that this is a peated whisky! The peat blends with tangy lemon and lime, spicy black pepper, and cinnamon spiced toffee. The mid palate brings forth ripe bananas and dried fruits, as the smokiness builds on the palate. This leads to notes of creamy cappuccino and liquorice root. The finish is exceptionally long, and the smoke doesn't hide. It brings our espresso, anissed, toasted almonds and traces of soft barley and fresh pear. More from Ardbeg Perfect Serve As with all whisky, drink however you like it. We tried this with a light splash of water, and really enjoyed how this opened up the aromas.

Merlet VSOP Cognac The Merlet family have been producing wine since the 18th Century. But it was in 1850 that Firmin Merley began distilling just outside the village of Saint Sauvant in the region of Saintonge Using this, he began to distill his own harvest. It was his successor, Edouard, who began providing fine eaux-de-vie to the large cognac houses like Hennessy. Through generations, the Merlet family have refined their expetise in producing unique eaux-de-vie which is respectful of the Saintonge terroir. However, it is time in oak barrels which ensures their eaux-de-vie develops into harmonious cognacs. For their Merlet VS Cognac, the current family members (Gilles and his sons) select and blend eaux-de-vie from different regions of the cognac appellation. As this is a VSOP, the ageing lasts at least four years.  The majority of the Cognacs selected for this blend come from Fins Bois ‘crus’. These are renowned for their fruitiness, and ability to mature fast when barrel-aged. A lesser quantity of Cognacs from Petite Champagne add complexity to the blend. Depending on the flavour, other ‘crus’ eaux-de-vie distilled by Merlet may also be added.  The cognac itself is amber coloured, and releases aromas which have an intense fruitiness. Notes of peach in particular come through. The flavour brings an intensity with subtle fruity notes of peach, as well as a supple and round palate. It has a long, fruity finish to it. Gustav Arctic Cloudberry Liqueur The story behind Lignell & Piispanen (the creators of the Gustav range of spirits) goes back to 1852. A family run business from then until today, it was started by Gustav Ranin when he purchases the Crown Distillery (itself founded in 1783) situated in the city of Kuopio (around 400km north-east of Helsinki) in Finland.  Right from their beginnings, the company has taken inspiration from the pristine forests and marshlands of their region. They handpick the berries and plants from this region, which are the pure raw materials within Gustav Spirits.  Their 170+ year history, attention to detail, and flavours found in their pristine landscape come together to create their delicious Gustav Spirits. The cloudberry is found around the northern hemisphere, in the North of Russia, the Nordic countries, Canada, Greenland and the north of America. It is an amber coloured fruit and quite sour in flavour. When sugar is added it has a flavour which is something like a cross between raspberries, blackberries and redcurrants. Making their golden coloured Cloudberry liqueur, Gustav use real cloudberries and sugar. Dingle Original Pot Still Gin This gin isn't just made in Ireland, it uses a lot of the local flora to create the unique recipe behind Dingle. The aim was to create a totally unique gin. One keeping to the great tradition of gin distilling but which also came with a degree of innovation.  Made in Co. Kerry (Ireland), they went through a long process to finalise their recipe. Giving this London Dry gin its unique taste they took rowan berries from the mountain ash trees, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn and heather which gives a real, unique taste of the Kerry landscape. Overall this is a really fresh and floral gin. Juniper is present, but the floral character helps to balance the juniper so it is not overpowering. In a large copa glass filled with ice, add 50ml of the gin and mix with 150ml of Three Cents Tonic Water (we like this one as it doesn't mask any of the flavours in the gin). Garnish with a couple of slices of citrus (we suggest slices of orange) and a sprinkling of juniper berries.
