Dysmantle is an open-world action RPG developed by the independent studio 10tons. I am talking about a team with such titles as Tesla vs Lovecraft, Jydge, Crimsonland or even Spellspire in its portfolio. Among the many sources of inspiration mentioned by the developers, the leading series are Dark Souls, The Legend of Zelda, and SteamWorld.Dysmantle takes us to a picturesque island that fell victim to a mysterious cataclysm. As a result, the creatures inhabiting it (both about humans and wild animals) turned into bloodthirsty beasts. During the game, we play the role of a daredevil who, after leaving the safe haven, intends to find a way to escape from this place. Before he does so, however, he will have to fight to survive, gradually taking control of this piece of land.In Dysmantle, the action is shown in an isometric view. The main element of the game is the title "disassembly"; the hero can destroy the vast majority of objects found in the game world, thus obtaining valuable materials such as plastic, rubber or metal. After finding the right project, the acquired resources allow him to create useful items, tools, items of clothing and weapons (we are talking about melee and ranged weapons, as well as various traps) and upgrades to the existing equipment.A properly equipped protagonist can continue to venture into the wilderness full of dangers, eliminate the enemies encountered there (whose organs can also be used as building materials), and build outposts to seal his presence in a given area. The exploration is also encouraged by the presence of mysterious ruins that open before us after solving the puzzles that protect them. These places can be a source of technological advances from a bygone era (providing an advantage over inhospitable environments) or unique materials with almost magical properties (which in turn are used to create powerful equipment).It is worth noting that nothing stands in the way of transforming your base into a post-apocalyptic farm, where our client grows plants or breeds tamed animals; Fish can also be a food source. Although food is not a necessary condition for survival here (the hero cannot starve), preparing various dishes based on the recipes found provides the protagonist with permanent bonuses to statistics and skills. In addition, in return for the activities undertaken, the hero gains experience, thanks to which he can face more and more challenges over time.
