Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka 70cl

Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka 70cl

Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka The Ramsbury distillery is located within the Ramsbury Estate, in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, in England. They are farmers first, blending tradition and innovation perfectly to produce high quality spirits with the lowest environmental impact. The estate is home to their own orchard and lake, and behind the distillery are fields of Horatio and Spotlight wheat, which are used to make the base spirits. Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka is a smooth and rich vodka, full of character and made with just 2 ingredients; the wheat from their own fields and their own chalk filtered water. When distilled together, the result is a smooth and elegant single estate spirit. The Horatio wheat gives the aroma a delicate and sweet bouquet with its distinctive vanilla tones. On the palate there is a creamy mouthfeel, with tones of dried fruits, cocoa and layers of sweet caramel. A richness of dark chocolate follows, adding to Ramburys unique and memorabe character.  More from Ramsbury Perfect Serve For a refreshing long drink add 50ml Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka to a hi-ball glas, filled with ice. Top up with soda water (we love Fentimans Soda Water) and garnish with a twist of lemon and a sprig of rosemary. The classic Martini is a must for the cocktail lovers. Add 60ml Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka and 15ml dry vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir until chilled, strain into a martini glass and add  atwist of lemon to garnish.

Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Irish Whiskey 70cl

Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Irish Whiskey 70cl

Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Irish Whiskey In creating Two Stacks, there was a desire to blend not just whiskey, but also the very best of contemporary Irish flavour and the real heritage of distilling. Historically in Ireland, merchants and grocers would blend and age their own whiskey blends. They would select from distilleries and then chose their own casks in which to age. Over the last 150 years this heritage has slowly been on the decline. Two Stacks wanted to change this. Relying on traditional techniques, they chose whiskies, blend and cask. Then through taste and nose they decide when the Whiskey has reached its maturity and then empty and hand label each bottle. Their Blender's Cut uses the same recipe as their First Cut Irish Whiskey, however they bottle this one at cask strength – a weighty 65% ABV! The recipe itself is a blend of grain whiskey's aged in virgin oak and bourbon oak casks. A Pot still whiskey which has been aged in Oloroso Sherry Casks. And finishes with a bourbon cask matured double-distilled malt, and a peated malt aged in bourbon casks. This results in a full-bodied Irish whiskey, which is packed full of flavour. On the nose there is a rich sweetness from molasses, which is cinnamon enhanced nectarine and a little oak. The palate opens with dried fruits and notes of raisins and sultanas. Ginger and almonds also come through and are joined by caramel sweetness and a touch of black pepper. It finishes with a honey note, balanced with pepper and nutmeg spice. More from Two Stacks Perfect Serve We love this on its own, either at room temperature of with a single large cube of ice. However, as with all good whiskies - enjoy this how you like your whiskey!

Two Stacks The Blenders Cut Cherry Brandy Cask Irish Whiskey 70cl

Two Stacks The Blenders Cut Cherry Brandy Cask Irish Whiskey 70cl

Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Cherry Brandy Cask Irish Whiskey In creating Two Stacks, there was a desire to blend not just whiskey, but also the very best of contemporary Irish flavour and the real heritage of distilling. This Cherry Brandy cask edition has been especially created for The Netherlands, and is a limited bottling. So grab yourself a bottle whilst you can, as these won't last long! A unique blend of grain, malt and pot cask whiskies - these have been selected to ensure the perfect blend. These consist of: 40% Dark Grain, which has been aged in Virgin Oak Casks 8% Pot Still, which has been aged in Oloroso Sherry Butts 40% Light Grain, 10% Double Malt and 2% Peated Malt which have all been individually aged in Bourbon Casks After blending, these have then been finished in a French Oak Cask, which had held Cherry Brandy. The result is a whiskey which is definitely 'Two Stacks', but which has delicious notes of ripe plums, as well as hints of cherry cola. Unique and definitely different. More from Two Stacks Perfect Serve We think this should definitely be enjoyed on its own, to really appreciate the unique flavours. Try at room temperature of with a single large cube of ice. However, as with all good whiskies - enjoy this how you like your whiskey!

L'Arbre Gin 70cl

L'Arbre Gin 70cl

L'Arbre Gin With over 63 year experience, Teichenné Liquors have used their knowledge and expertise to create L’Arbre gin (L’Arbre is Catalan for “the tree”). Founded in Arboç (Tarragona), the owner (Marc Teichenné) has utilised botanicals of the Mediterranean Penedès area of Spain, creating the perfect formulation for a unique gin to enjoy those special moments. It is an exceptionally well-balanced gin, with the botanicals blending perfectly (these include thyme, basil, lavender and rosemary – all quintessential Mediterranean herbs). Whilst it has the balanced herbal flavour palette, it is also freshened with delightful notes of citrus, with the juniper taking a less leading role, blending with the other botanicals as almost a back note. Basil is noticeable, but this is balanced well with lavender. The tree (from which the gin takes its name) on the front of the bottle has a story of its own. A simple, classic bottle, the tree is front and centre. The roots symbolise the past, and the foundation. The branches represent what is to come and the future. The trunk holds the experience of the three generations of the company. Truly a Mediterranean gin, with a great provenance, made to enjoy unique moments. This fully deserves the many awards it has received. Read more about L'Arbre Perfect Serve This is a perfectly flavoured gin on its own, so we would encourage enjoying with a neutral tonic, such as Fentimans Indian Tonic. However, if you enjoy your g&t a little sweeter, try with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water. Use plenty of ice, and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

Ballantine's Finest Whisky 70cl

Ballantine's Finest Whisky 70cl

Ballantine's Finest Whisky With a heritage that dates back to 1827, Ballantines is one of the most known and loved Scotch Whisky brands in the world. It started with George Ballantine in a small grocery store in Edinburgh. Here he would supply a range of whiskies to his customers. his developed into a larger establishment in Edinburgh, where along with his son George Junior they began to create their own blends. In 1920, the recipe for Ballantine's Finest was created, and it has stayed true to the original ever since. The result is a whisky which has become Europe's No. 1 Scotch Whisky, and was voted the World's Best Blended Scotch in 2020. Fun Fact: During prohibition, the bottles were designed to be square so that American Salesmen could conceal them in their briefcases without them rolling around should any inspectors be around! Finest is a great classic all-rounder. It has a light gold colour, and a nose which is soft, with notes of heather, honey and just a hint of delicate spice. The flavour is balanced well, subtle, and has hints of milk chocolate, red apples and vanilla. The finish leaves the palate feeling fresh, with a floral after-taste. More from Ballantine's Perfect Serve As a classic, balanced all-rounder, this is easily enjoyed on its own, over ice, or with a splash of water. It works well in the mix too, either in cocktails, or more simply with a mixer such as cola or ginger ale. Try adding 50ml to a highball glass filled with ice, then top up with a quality cola or ginger ale (we like Fentimans). Delicious, and really refreshing.

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin 70cl

Copper in the Clouds Marmalade Gin Created in 'The Distillery at Dowsett's Farm', Copper in the Clouds gin is a small company creating premium gin's in Hertfordshire. Historically, Hertfordshire (a county just to the north of London) was the hunting ground of the British Royal family, and is still relatively rural with numerous forests. They create their gins using locally sourced premium wheat spirit. Where possible, they use locally grown and sourced botanicals, and have even started growing some of their own botanicals on the farm in their recently created botanical garden. This attention to detail ensures a quality, and unique range of gins which they can rightfully be proud of! Each of their bottles is a piece of art itself. With this gin, they capture a marmalade cat (ginger) lying on a slice of bread peeling oranges - along with a rabbit and a jar of marmalade. This isn't just called a Marmalade gin due to the citrus uses in its creation, they actually use real marmalade! This is created using by the team at the distillery themselves. They use pink grapefruits, seville oranges and the peel from blood oranges in it's creation. This gives the gin a rich flavour, with an orange colour to it. This is entirely natural, and comes from the marmalade itself. As well as the marmalade, the other botanicals include juniper berries, coriander seed, licorice and angelica root, as well as more citrus flavours from orange and lemon peel. As you would expect, the flavour and aroma is sweet and zesty, exactly as you would expect from marmalade! More from Copper in the Clouds Perfect Serve As this is already a sweeter gin, we recommend enjoying with a lighter tonic. Fentimans Naturally Light Tonic works really well. However, if you want to increase the citrus flavours, try using their Valencian Orange Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a fresh orange wheel. It also works well in a spritz, when mixed with soda water, or even Prosecco. Truly versatile, it also adds an enticing edge to cocktails.

Isle of Harris Gin 70cl

Isle of Harris Gin 70cl

Isle of Harris Gin What greets you first with this gin is the iconic design of the bottle. Even this has a story... The paper seal shows the co-ordinates of the distillery. The Portuguese wooden stopper which bears the distillery's logo. The rippled glass evokes thoughts of the maritime aspect of the island, and hints at fotsam and jetsam worn by tides. The glass colour is reminiscent of the colour of the sea around the isle in the summer. The paper label holds flecks of both sugar kelp (a key botanical) and copper. Lastly, the motto "Esse Quam Videri" (To Be, Rather than seem to be) which is the founders family Motto.  All of this hints at the depth of thought that has gone in to the creation of the gin.... and all this before the stopper is even removed. The distillery itself is in the village of Tarbert, on the Isle of Harris (in the Outer Hebrides, NW Scotland). They distill using a small copper still which is known as 'The Dottach', and bottle and individually seal each one by hand. For the gin, nine carefully selected ingredients are used. Each of these giving it's own individual characteristic to the recipe. The key botanical, and "star of the show" is the local, hand-harvested Sugar Kelp which shows the island's deep connections to the sea and gives a maritime edge to the gin. The other botanicals used in the creation of this gin are juniper, cassia bark, coriander seed, angelica root, bitter orange peel, cubebs, liquorice root and orris root.  These carefully selected botanicals mean that Isle of Harris Gin is an exceptionally refreshing gin. It has a a defined balance between bitter juniper and pine, and the sweet fruit flavours of mango, grapefruit and orange. A green herb flavour of crushed coriander develops and as the juniper and citrus fade away, sweet vanilla and black pepper remain with a gentle reminder of the sea. Perfect Serve A truly delicious gin, it can easily be enjoyed on its own over ice. For a longer drink - we have two options. Keeping it maritime themed, we really like Lobsters Tonic Water, or their Lemon Mint soda. With either of these, pour 50ml of the gin into a large glass filled with ice and add 150 - 200ml of your preferred mixer.  Stir gently, and with the tonic, add a slice of grapefruit for the garnish, or with the Lemon Mint soda add a sprig of mint.
