The Disney Afternoon Collection for PS4, PC and XONE is a collection of six games based on classic Disney TV cartoons that were originally released on the NES console in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Japanese company Capcom is responsible for creating the originals and their refreshed versions. 1980s established several years of fruitful cooperation with Disney. It resulted in highly rated console games based on the most popular hits of the label from the big and small screen. The Disney Afternoon Collection includes titles using licenses from four TV series: Brigade RR (Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers), Duck Tales, Super Baloo (TailSpin) and Dzielny Agent Kaczor (Eng. Darkwing Duck).The Disney Afternoon Collection consists of six legendary productions from the NES console:Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (premiere: 1990) is a platform production intended for both one and two players. Members of the RR Brigade are looking for a missing little girl's cat named Mandy. In Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (premiere: 1993), the RR Brigade tries to stop the Fatty Cat, the group's nemesis, from stealing an ancient Egyptian artifact. As in the case of the first part of the series, we are dealing here with a platformer that allows two people to have fun at the same time.In Darkwing Duck (premiere: 1992), a masked Robin Duck confronts the F.O.W.L. Cannar. We traverse the roofs and streets of the metropolis, using gadgets and special weapons. The game is a typical 2D platformer. DuckTales (premiere: 1989) is another classic two-dimensional platformer. In the course of the game, players take on the role of Scrooge McDuck, who, together with his nephews, sets off on a journey around the world. The title offers varied and colorful levels that we can overcome in the order we choose, as well as a catchy music track. In 2013, the game was also completely remake, made by Way Forward studio.DuckTales 2 (premiere: 1993) carefully develops the original formula, taking players on another dangerous journey. Its goal is to find all the pieces of the map that leads to the treasure hidden by Uncle Scrooge's ancestor. TaleSpin (premiere: 1991) is a shoot 'em up production in which we control the Baloo plane, carrying out numerous orders consisting in delivering parcels. During the mission, we have to deal with air pirates attacking us.All games included in the package have been remastered and adapted to work with modern hardware platforms. Titles run at native 1080p resolution and offer a range of graphics filters. The creators also introduced new game modes (Boss Rush, Time Attack) and the ability to rewind the action when we die or encounter some difficulties in the game. For fans of the originals, there are also bonus galleries of concept sketches and illustrations.
