A new world to explore
Greymoor offers players the opportunity to experience the gameplay of The Elder Scrolls Online, even if this is their first foray into Skyrim. The expansion is set 1,000 years before the Dragonborn set out to defeat Alduin, and introduces a new story and characters. Players will be able to create a new character for themselves and experience all that Greymoor has to offer.
The expansion adds new features, including new events in the game world in the form of Harrowstorms. These fallen storms have been plaguing the region, turning everything they touch into monsters and draining the land of life. Silencing them will be one of the player's tasks in the area. New trial missions - Kyne's Aegis - will pit players against the Sea Giants in defense of a besieged fortress. No less important are new rewards, locked in chests scattered throughout the region. These contain a variety of items, from collectibles to achievements and more.
The Antiquities System is another new addition to the gameplay, allowing the player to explore Tamriel's past. By excavating artifacts from the past, the player can gain valuable knowledge about the history of the land and gain fame as a successful archaeologist.
Ancient Evil Rises
1000 years ago, Tamriel was a land of peace. Evil forces wanted to destroy that peace and establish their own reign of terror. The Vampire Lord, an ancient being from Tamriel's dark past, rises in the west of Skyrim. In the snows of Greymoor, he gathers his forces to strike at Tamriel and subjugate it to his will.
