Hellebore HGC White - Gift Wrapped - 2 Litre Pot

Christmas Roses such as Hellebore HGC® Diva®, Helleborus HGC® Jesko and Helleborus HGC® Wintergold happily grow and thrive well without requiring a great deal of maintenance if planted in the right spot. Even in planters, the charming winter flowerers don't require a great deal of work. When hellebores lay down leaves and flowers on the ground on frosty nights, they may appear frozen. It's a normal reaction of the plants to protect against the cold. When temperatures rise above freezing, the plant will straighten back up again. To avoid the occurrence of frost drought, water the Helleborus plants sufficiently during periods of mild weather. We will select from choice of Helleborus HGC® CR Jesko, Helleborus HGC® CR Wintergold  or Helleborus HGC® CR Diva® all from German breeder, Heuger, for whom we are the official UK partner.  The perfect wintry gift! In the summer, you want to move the planter to a shady place and water it occasionally to prevent the plant from drying out. Flowers Removing dead flowers from hellebores during the flowering season is normally not necessary; the slightly pink or green tones the flowers take on as they fade actually extend the flowering season in winter. Remove the seed pods before they open, as offspring plants normally don't flower well and might suppress the original plants. Leaves The old and brown leaves of Christmas Roses and Snow Roses are best be removed in the spring and summer. Feeding Helleborus plants do not require any fertiliser in their first spring. Feed older plants from February onwards and apply a second dressing of fertiliser in midsummer, when the plants grow new roots and initiate flower buds for the next season. Organic fertilizers such as horn shavings and compost have proven to be the fertilizers of choice. If the plants suffer lime deficiency, soils can be improved by working in Dolomite lime or crushed eggshells. The leaves that have fallen off nearby deciduous trees provide a layer of mulch in winter; simply leave them lying on the ground. They form a layer that activates soil life. Helleborus is very sensitive to root injuries. For this reason, the ground around it should not be dug.

Bay Tree Pyramid - 70cm - 2.5 Litre Pot - Gift wrapped

Here at the nursery, we think these potted Bay Trees will look absolutely stunning positioned by Your front door or patio, decorated with fairy lights, welcoming you home and brightening your doorway and gardens during darker evenings.  They serve as living Christmas Trees in the run up to festivities as they have been beautifully trimmed into traditional Christmas Tree pyramids.  Unlike cut Christmas trees these bay tree pyramids can of course be planted in gardens to thrive or kept in their pots and trimmed regularly to maintain their neat form.  We also love plants having a dual purpose; bay leaves can be picked and added as seasoning to casseroles, roasts, stews and soups bringing their delicious flavour to your recipes. Their lemon-coloured flowers, which appear in the Spring, help to attract pollinators to your garden. Bay Trees are hardy plants tolerating temperatures down to -5 as long as they are positioned in a sheltered spot protected from strong winds they will thrive planted in both pots and in the ground.  Delivered at a height of 70cm including the pot. Slow-growing but if left untrimmed the Bay Laurels can reach an eventual height of up to 12m and with a spread of 10m but are very easy to trim and maintain. With this in mind they are extremely resilient, long living plants and trimmed as desired will undoubtedly give you decades of pleasure.

Bay Tree Lollipop - 85cm - 2.5 Litre Pot - Gift wrapped

Bay Trees can be planted in any fertile, well-drained soil and prefer a sheltered position in sun or partial shade. If planted in a pot they will need more regular watering, especially during the drier months of the year. Add controlled-release fertiliser granules to the compost in mid-spring or liquid feed every two weeks in mid-spring to late summer. Trim to maintain shape in spring and summer. Delivered at a height of 85cm from the base of the pot. Beautifully clipped into a classic lollipop shape.

Citrus Orange Tree 45 - 55cm - 20 cm Pot - Gift Wrapped

Citrus trees do not tolerate waterlogging, so it is crucial to plant them in well-draining soil or compost. Prolonged exposure to wet conditions will often result in the loss of the plant. Make sure the container has adequate drainage to prevent water from accumulating around the roots. Citrus trees are relatively hungry plants and require regular feeding. From late March to October, use a high-nitrogen summer feed specifically formulated for citrus. In winter, switch to a winter feed designed for citrus trees, which helps maintain their health during the colder months. The Orange Tree provided stands approximately 45–55cm tall, including the pot. While we carefully select the best plant for you from our nursery, please note that fruit production is not guaranteed at the time of purchase. The fruiting cycle of citrus trees typically begins in early autumn, and plants ordered later in the season may be sent without fruit or may have dropped their fruit in transit. Citrus Lime Tree 45-55cm - 20 cm Pot - Gift Wrapped

Citrus Trees will thrive in most UK gardens given a warm sunny position. In the UK they are probably best grown in a large pot or other suitable container as this will allow them to be moved as conditions dictate. Your citrus tree can be left outside on a patio over summer but during all other seasons, move to a warmer, frost-free location with good light levels. Citrus Trees will not tolerate wet conditions or waterlogging for any length of time. Waterlogging will usually result in the loss of the plant. For this reason, they should be grown in very free-draining soil or compost. Citrus are hungry plants and need regular feeding. Use high nitrogen Citrus summer feed from late March to October. In winter switch to winter feed that is specific to Citrus. This Lime Tree stands approximately 45-55cm, including the pot. We will always pick the best plant on our nursery for you, however, please note that fruit on your citrus plant is not guaranteed, as this will be dependent on the time of year - with fruits being produced normally from beginning of autumn for most varieties. Plants ordered later in the season are more likely to drop their fruits in transit or may be despatched without fruit if they have finished producing. With correct feeding and care they will continue to fruit with the next cycle.
