Electro Detectors 8 Zone Zerio Plus Control Panel EDA-Z5008The Zerio Plus is a compact radio fire alarm system designed for use in any type of commercial or residential premises. With the culmination of 30 years experience of fire alarm system design and manufacture the Zerio Plus has replaced the well-established Millennium and Zerio series of equipment combining the advantages and features of both systems. The installer does not require expensive additional equipment to configure the complete system.Once installed the control panel is used to aid system set-up program devices and to commission the system. The automatic set-up and learn modes simplify configuration decisions reducing the possibility of errors. The servicingadditionremoval of devices does not require extra programming equipment. Complex cause and effects can be programmed into the panel using the front keypad or by connecting a standard USB keyboard. Alternatively by programming a USB memory fob with a PC and then downloading the information into the panel. Internal configuration and operating data can be downloaded on to the same memory fob and then analysed on a PC. Configuration is also stored on a removable memory card for backup.The panel is capable of warning of any devices approaching their pre-programmed alarm condition and should any of the devices gradually become contaminated a warning condition is generated. If devices need to be installed beyond the range of the control panel either a radio booster or a wired transceiver can be added to relay information around the system. Up to7 boosters and 7 wired transceivers can be added to the system which operate as intelligent signal repeaters. The units usually installed in individual flats are designed to be used in conjunction with the Zerio Plus HMO programming mode. If the system detects smoke or heat in a flat then the sounders in the flat would automatically sound and a warning displayed on the control panel. If the activation has been caused by the occupant of the flat he would normally have to go the control panel but in order to silence the sounders he can now silence the alarm from his own flat this result in the sounders being silenced and the panel being reset. As it is likely that there is still smoke or heat in the vicinity of the flat then the devices in the flat are isolated for a pre-programmed period of time. This gives plenty of opportunity to clear the area of the smoke. If after this time the device is still detecting smoke then the process will repeat.If the panel displays the warning but the silence button is not activated then the system will evacuate the building after another pre-programmed period of time. The system has the flexibility so that devices programmed into communal areas can either be programmed to evacuate the entire building or just the communal areas. The new Zerio Plus device has the usual features of the original device with increases in flexibility when operating with the Zerio Plus system. Offering the advanced features of the Zerio Plus detector the unit is housed in an attractive moulding and shares a common fixing and is interchangeable with the existing Zerio Plus detectors.The unit has been type tested to operate as an A1S type heat detector but can also be programmed to operate as an A1R rate of rise or fixed point detector. The combined heat detector and sounder contains a powerful processor and utilises surface mount technology to achieve the ultimate in performance and reliability.The sounder section utilises a high output sounder switch mode power supply and a sensitive narrow band FM receiver. The unit is fully programmable and is capable as is the usual sounder detector of being divided into 255 individually controlled areas. Fully configurable by radio the combined heat detector and sounder stores a unique serial number and length of time in service in its non-volatile memory. With several available tones which can be changed with a few button presses at the control panel the system offers flexibility never seen on a wired system. Electro Detectors 100 Zone Zerio Plus Control Panel EDA-Z5100The Zerio Plus is a compact radio fire alarm system designed for use in any type of commercial or residential premises. With the culmination of 30 years experience of fire alarm system design and manufacture the Zerio Plus has replaced the well-established Millennium and Zerio series of equipment combining the advantages and features of both systems.The installer does not require expensive additional equipment to configure the complete system. Once installed the control panel is used to aid system set-up program devices and to commission the system. The automatic set-up and learn modes simplify configuration decisions reducing the possibility of errors. The servicingadditionremoval of devices does not require extra programming equipment. Complex cause and effects can be programmed into the panel using the front keypad or by connecting a standard USB keyboard. Alternatively by programming a USB memory fob with a PC and then downloading the information into the panel. Internal configuration and operating data can be downloaded on to the same memory fob and then analysed on a PC. Configuration is also stored on a removable memory card for backup.The panel is capable of warning of any devices approaching their pre-programmed alarm condition and should any of the devices gradually become contaminated a warning condition is generated. If devices need to be installed beyond the range of the control panel either a radio booster a wired transceiver or even another control panel can be added to relay information around the system.
