This provides a reliable and cost-effective solution in standard flame detection applications especially where there is a single hazard in the field of view. The FV400 detectors use Triple IR Solar Blind sensing technology and flame detection algorithms to provide high performance sensing capabilities for hydrocarbon fires. This includes the ability to reliably sense flames through high densities of solvent vapours and black smoke increasing the probability of early detection with consistent high sensitivity to flame throughout the whole field of view.They also ensure consistent detection of many different types of hydrocarbon fuels from alcohol to aviation fuel. Fireclass 517.050.023FC 5BEX 5 Universal Ex Detector BaseThe 517.050.023FC 5BEX detector base has been ATEX approved for use with the series M600Ex and series 800Ex intrinsically safe detectors and is covered by type examination certificates BAS01ATEX1134X3 and BAS01ATEX1194X3 respectively.The 5BEx 5 Universal Base is compatible with M600Ex MX 800Ex and the 800Exn ranges of Detectors. This document describes its use with the 800Exn series of detectors. Thus a ceiling-mounted detector comprises the specific detector type plus a 5BEx 5 Universal Base. The range is intended for two wire operation.When the detector is mounted on the base the detector LED provides a visual indication of its status through 360 degrees. The detector may be locked in position by inserting a locking key which is part of the detector moulding.
