Chicken Police is an original adventure game developed by the independent studio The Wild Gentlemen. The sources of inspiration for the creators include both classic noir films from the 1940s (The Big Dream, Gilda, Double Insurance) and video games like Grim Fandango and Snatcher. Chicken Police takes us on a journey to the fictional city of Clawville, inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. The main characters of this production, Sonny Featherland and Marty McChicken, are legendary rooster detectives who used to be a truly brilliant duo, but at some point their paths diverged. The former has developed alcoholism, while the latter, under the guise of a star, hides problems that have led him to the brink of the abyss. Faced with the need to solve a strange and dark case, the protagonists must once again join forces and plunge into the criminal world of Clawville. Chicken Police combines solutions straight from adventure games with elements taken from visual novel games. During the game, the primary role is played by talking to over thirty characters. While some turn out to be unrelated to the case, others hide numerous secrets that they only reveal during interrogations. We meet them in various places; There are over thirty locations to visit in Clawville, and many of them change over time. As we progress, we obtain evidence and clues (which, in consequence, will allow us to complete the investigation), and ... we get into various troubles; suffice to say that the game features, among other things, a spectacular chase.
