Nutrix: Nurse Alert Alarm Only

Nutrix: Nurse Alert Alarm Only

Designed to give carers an early warning when someone gets out of their bed, wheelchair, or chair, The Nutrix Nurse Alert helps to prevent falls and wandering. It can be used with the clip-on pull cord, or a sensor mat. With loud or soft volume settings, two alarm sounds, and the option to be silenced and connected to a nurse call system for remote alarm signalling, it has a diverse range of applications. The alarm features adjustable stand-by time in order to allow the carer to reposition the person without the alarm being triggered again. This alarm can only be turned off by an infrared remote control or key code, reducing the risk of it being switched off before the person is properly attended to by a carer and making it ideal for patients with a history of turning off their own alarms. The alarm unit is made from resin with a tough, rubberised housing for protection against damage. This alert system can be used with optional sensor mats (sold separately) which are placed on a bed or chair surface, as well as by attachment to, for example, a patient's clothing with the pull cord. It features a versatile mounting base and wall hanger, and a cable holder to prevent accidental disconnection. Features and Benefits: Warns carers when a patient gets out of bed or chair Designed to prevent falls and wandering Features a low battery indicator Includes mounting bracket Specifications: Alarm height: 95mm (3.75") Alarm width: 95mm (3.75") Alarm depth: 40mm (1.5") Use with either 4 x AA batteries (not included) or an optional mains adaptor

Nutrix: Voice Alert with Bed Mat

Nutrix: Voice Alert with Bed Mat

This Nutrix Voice Alert System enables a carer to record some simple instructions in a voice that is familiar to the patient. Simply having a friendly prompt helps to reduce anxiety and confusion and is often sufficient to engage the patient, allowing the carer time to attend, making this Alert System ideal for those with patients living with Dementia. The impact of noise on people with Dementia is particularly important in a care setting. Dementia often alters how the person perceives external stimuli, such as noise and light, and as hearing is linked to balance, this also leads to a greater risk of falls. This can come from a loss of balance or an increase in disorientation in an overstimulating and noisy environment. This versatile item has different modes, allowing the caregiver to ensure a variety of situations can be aided with this one nurse alert system. As well as the ability to detect movement with the magnetic pull cord, it can raise the alarm when a patient either removes or applies pressure to a sensor mat. Sensor mats work by detecting the change in pressure applied to them and they can be set to either pressure-on or pressure-off mode. Features and Benefits: Supplied with Large/Bed Sensor Mat High, low and mute volume options with additional flashing light alert Includes mounting bracket and low battery warning Can be connected to multipoint nurse call systems Low battery warning Alert by pull cord or switchable pressure on/off sensor mat Tough resin case with rubber edges
