Capable of full 2 wire loop testing designed not to trip 30ma RCDs and suitable for use with a wide range of voltages, the Megger LTW325 can be used to quickly and easily verify the loop impedance of electrical circuits without directly disconnecting the electrical supply. Used in combination with two-pole voltage testers to verify that they are safe for use both before and after testing periods. A Portable lightweight unit with two integrated ports designed to house the probe tips of a voltage tester. Once the probes are inserted into these holes and the MPU690 is activated it will test voltage levels in five steps - 50, 100, 230, 400 and 690V. When each voltage passes the proving unit's tests an LED light will switch on on the front of the tester. Designed to work automatically whenever its needed, the MPU690 will power on once testing probes are inserted into the unit and it will then simulate a 50Hz output voltage designed to represent AC mains supply. The MPU690 is perfectly acceptable for use with other makes and models of two-pole voltage testers. 5 stepped nominal output voltages. High output power suitable for test lamps. The entry-level tester in Megger's earth loop tester range, the LTW315 is used for carrying out 2 wire loop impedance measurements on phase to earth or phase to neutral. Guaranteed not to trip working RCDs of more than 30mA thanks to a non-trip loop test and compatible with both three and single phase systems, this tester makes performing measurements easier by requiring the use of only 2 test leads in order to carry out measurement procedures. When there is no risk of tripping an RCD it is also possible to use high current loop testing mode. When carrying out no-trip testing procedures the LTW315 constantly evaluates the level of noise detected on circuitry to ensure that the accuracy of results is not modified by the presence of electrical noise. Megger's LTW425 is the best model available in Megger's LTW range of earth loop testers. It includes all of the features found on the other models and also enhances the overall resolution of the instrument, bumping it up from 0.001 to 0.0001 resolution. It's also the only model in the series to feature 40 KA PFC range. Like other models in the series this earth loop tester is capable of performing 2, 3 and 4 wire earth loop measurements. It also performs 2-wire fast testing (high current) which can be used when an RCD isn't present in the installation. The LTW425 also automatically compensantes for excess noise present within the installation, ensuring that the accuracy of loop tests performed remains high.
