Nittan EV-PYH-SCI Photoelectric Optical Heat Cat PMulti-Sensor With Short Circuit IsolatorEV-PYH-SCI is an Optical Smoke Heat Category PMulti-sensor Detector with integral Short Circuit Isolator fully compatiblewith Evolution analogue addressable systems.The EV-PYH-SCI comes to the market with some exciting newtechnological advances centred on an enhanced new PY smoke sensing chamber.The sensor includes a spherical feature within the smoke chamber providingunrivalled performance for scattering light plus an Orange LED whichsignificantly improves response across the fire spectrum. The Chamberconstruction is designed to minimise the effect of dirtdust contamination witha fine micromesh made of stainless steel to prevent ingress of even thesmallest insects which can create false alarms.This advanced Multi Sensor is able to combine the benefitsof both optical and heat sensing technologies making it less prone to falsealarms than individual sensing devices. An innovative Nittan designed algorithmreads both signals simultaneously and generates alarm signals from either orboth sensors. The Heat sensor is Category P meaning it can be configured aseither A1R A2S BS or CS heat category.The integral Short Circuit Isolator is bi-directional and inthe event of an external fault will shut down on one side to protect thesystem whilst allowing the device to continue communication with the firealarm control panel from the opposite side. The isolator will self-reset whenthe fault is cleared.The Nittan UB-6-SL-EV Base includes a sliding link toprovide loop continuity when detectors are removed. The Waterproof ReSet Call Points are specially designed for use within harsh environments such as oil rigs ships factories as well as wash down areas that are sensitive to broken glass.They are compatible with most conventional fire alarm systems. They are safe to use in areas where glass cannot be used such as food processing plants and leisure centres. As the units can be simply reset they provide an ideal solution for areas that suffer from a high number of false activations such as schools shopping centres and other public places.OperationThe ReSet uses a simple yet ingenious patented mechanism which consists of a rigid plastic operating element and an over centre spring mechanism. This arrangement provides real action on operation and simulates break glass activation. An activation indicator drops into view at the top of the window after the ReSet has been operated.
