On receipt of an unconfirmed fire signal from a flat onlythe local alarm within the flat is given. If the alarm is confirmed by a second signal thesystem proceeds to the relevant evacuation stage general alarm or part of stagedevacuation. When the site is in a full evacuation mode this feature is disabled and thelocal sounder or sounder beacons cannot be silenced by the user.Local DisablementIf the user believes that they may generate an unwanted alarm from a smoke detectorwithin their premises they can press and hold the Fire Alarm Silence button for 5seconds. The yellow LED illuminates which will then disable the detection in that zoneonly for a configurable period of between 5-15 minutes in accordance with BS5839 Part 6.At the end of the configured period the zone will automatically re-enable all detectionwill be active and the LED will be extinguished.Local TestA test feature is available which allows the user to operate the sounder or sounderbeacons within the local zone by pressing and holding down the Fire Alarm Testbutton once released the sounder or sounder beacons will silence.ConnectionThe button is connected to the Pearl loop via a Notifier 21 dual input single outputinterface unit and a 5-core cable.
