Cotton canvas white

Cotton canvas white

100% cotton canvas for your next DIY project A durable, tightly woven piece of cotton canvas can be used for many exciting DIY projects. Select your favourites and sew delightful storage and laundry baskets for the home, lovely bags, spacious storage bags or a cool duffel bag.   Decorate with intricate details for your very personal look.   Get out the paintbrush Use the cotton canvas as your canvas – quite literally. Stretch the fabric onto a frame, find brushes and paint, let the colours flow freely, and create a personal painting that can adorn the wall in the living room, the children's room or the holiday home. It can only turn out well!  A few more details Cotton canvas is a tightly woven, durable and hard-wearing fabric that you can use for projects requiring a robust surface.   The fabric by the metre is made of 100% cotton, has a width of 140 cm, and can be ordered by the metre. Expect it to shrink 3% upon washing.   Since cotton canvas is a heavy material, it's crucial to use the right needle and thread. We recommend either a jeans needle or a universal needle size 90 along with a robust thread. You might want to increase the stitch length to give your project a genuinely exquisite look.   What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®? OEKO-TEX® is the world's leading health label for textiles.  When the fabric by the metre is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, it's your assurance that it has been tested and approved and is free from any harmful chemicals.

Er you ready?  Wool and nylon mending yarn This 55% wool and 45% nylon darning yarn (also called mending yarn) comes in 20 pretty colours. This type of darning yarn is great for mending socks, knitwear and ‘thicker’ materials because the beautiful woolen look of the yarn matches these types of projects perfectly.   How to do mendingPlace a small piece of fabric under the hole you mean to mend. Hand stitch over it in straight lines in different directions until a nice pattern has formed. You can also use mending yarn for more seamless and less visible repairs, but the look of visible mending is fantastic. Use it on everything from knitted sweaters with holes to woolen bodysuits, beanies, mittens and socks.  Great accessories to use when mendingApart from mending yarn we also stock a long list of accessories that we recommend you use when mending: -         Embroidery needle - with and without a rounded tip-         Pair of small embroidery scissors -         Embroidery frame-         Thimble-         Water soluble marker pen  Everything suggested here can be purchased in different versions. Choose just what is right for you and your project!  Cotton mending yarn also availableThis 100% cotton darning yarn (also called mending yarn) comes in 8 pretty colours.
