Cotton satin - the best of both worldsHow about trying our soft cotton fabric in a range of beautiful colours for your next creative project. It's soft and comfortable to work with.Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven. This means that when we say cotton satin, it has the same beautiful weave as more 'classic' satin, while the cotton quality gives a more matt finish to the fabric.  And what can you use cotton satin for? Well, that’s entirely up to you. We prefer using it for bed linen. The natural material of the cotton in the delicate satin weave makes for some really lovely home made bed linen. As with so many other cottons, it is also suitable for clothing. Cotton is comfortable to wear and the fine weave gives it a nice finish - for a summer shirt or skirt, for example. Cotton satin is also perfect for a tablecloth for the table. Sew the tablecloth yourself or select "Sew as a tablecloth" and we will sew it for you (click on the text for details). Practical information about cotton satinMade from 100% cotton, it's soft and fluffy and, as always, you buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 130 grams and shrinks about 8% in the wash. You can wash it at 60° and iron at medium heat - but avoid the tumble dryer; let it air dry instead. TIP: Finish your seams properly - satin tends to fray a lot. You could also consider using a wider seam allowance to secure your seams or use overlock stitching. As always - test your seams on a scrap piece beforehand to see which technique works best for your piece of fabric. Search "9 tips for sewing satin" for more tips. What is satin? Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven, where one side of the material is smooth and shiny. There are of course the classic corduroy trousers, but it could also be a nice shirt-dress, a cool spencer or maybe a smaller project like a lovely bucket hat? And when it comes to home-ware: How about sewing some velvet cushions for the sofa? Or you can use velvet to make the coolest shopper or belt bag. Find your favourite colours and get started with scissors, needle and thread!   Velvet is sold by the metre, so simply order the length you need. Freudenberg’s iron-on canvas is a lightweight, soft and fusible interfacing made of 100 % cotton. The interfacing is 90 cm wide. Fix the interfacing WITHOUT steam. Just press for about 8-10 seconds at medium iron temperature (2 dots). Move the iron. Press firmly and continue until you have fused the adhesive on your sewing project. We recommend you to do a fuse test on a small piece of fabric before you start. Leave the pattern piece to cool before you start sewing. Iron-on canvas is ideal for use with light and medium-weight shirt fabrics and similar fabrics made of cotton. Use a lightweight interfacing to stabilise and stiffen small sections, such as collars, pockets and bodices on blouses, jackets, etc.

Only paint surfaces that do not come into contact with food. 2. Shake well before use and removal of cap (1-2 minutes). 3. Press repeatedly on paper until the color is visible. 4. Test the pen on paper before painting on the object. 5. The paint can be removed with water before baking. 6. After 4 hours of drying time, cure at 160 °C in a non-preheated oven for 30 minutes. 7.
