Javana marker for light fabrics blue

This fabric paint pen is water-based and suitable for drawing on light-toned cotton, linen, silk, and textile blends with up to 20% synthetic fibres. Use your marker on already finished projects, or decorate them as you sew. This textile marker has a stroke width of 2-4 mm, making it especially suitable for decorative projects, upcycling or labelling children's clothing, and more. We recommend placing a plastic sheet between your fabric layers, to prevent the dye from staining the underlying layers. The marker is ready for use – remove the cap, and you're good to go. After use, we recommend leaving your project to dry for at least six hours, before heat-fixing it with an iron. Cover your project, i.e. with a tea towel or another cloth, to protect it during fixation. Your project is now washable at up to 60°C - please wash inside out. Fabric markers are best stored horizontally. The fabric marker is not suitable for children under three years of age.

And precisely this surface is both delightful to touch and super elegant for DIY projects.   Boucle is French and means 'loops'; a name that fits the fabric perfectly, made up of these small tightly-knitted loops.   Style your DIY project with boucle This boucle falls under the category of upholstery fabrics, which means you get a truly durable piece of fabric suitable for various projects.   Use it for seat cushions and decorative pillows, or upholster your daybed or chairs with boucle. Upholstery fabric can, of course, be used for more than just furniture. Sew a cool tote bag or handbag as the perfect accessory for everyday and parties.   Some practicalities about boucle This boucle is made of 90% polyester and 10% cotton with a wear resistance of 20,000 Martindale. The fabric is 140 cm wide, and you buy it by the metre, so you get precisely the length you need. The fabric is suitable for extra gentle wash and shrinks about 3%.  What is Martindale? Martindale tells you about the fabric's wear resistance. Javana batik dye blue 70g

Create your unique textiles with batik dying. Batik textile dyes are best used on cotton, viscose, linen, half panama, silk, wool, or polyamide. The screw-cap container contains 70 g of dye powder. Take what you need, mix it in accordance with the instructions, and save the rest for later. The more pigment you add, the stronger your colours become. Use 70 g of dye powder per 200g of fabric for strong colouration. Use 70 grs of poweder per 400 g of fabric for a less intense colouration. This batik textile dye paint is suitable for various dyeing techniques, e.g. tie-dye and dip-dye. Always wash the fabric before starting to paint. Fill a bucket or tub with very hot water (95°C), enough to cover your fabric. Add your dye and stir until completely dissolved. Then immerse the damp fabric in the colour bath. NB: Make sure that the dye is completely dissolved before you add the fabric. If not, the results will be spotty or uneven. Leave the fabric to soak for no more than one hour . Rinse your fabric with hot water. Batik dyes do not tolerate high temperatures. Wash your dyed fabric at max 40°C. Wash separately the first time. NB: To enhance the colours and prevent them for wearing off, we recommend you use our Javana fixing agent. Without fixing agent, the dyes will soon wash out.

Choose one or more favourites, get out your sewing machine, and sew your new outfit.  The material is suitable for almost all types of clothing, but of course, we have some favourites.  One of them is the classic top. Once you've found the right fit, you can easily change its look by simply choosing a new colour. Or how about making small adjustments in the design, so you have your favourite top with short, ¾, and long sleeves?  The fabric is suitable for much more than classic tops! Here, the viscose is mixed with elastane (6%), giving you a stretchable viscose.  You choose the length you need for your sewing project. The fabric measures 145 cm in width and shrinks by 6% when washed.  When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by having a medium point – also known as ball point.
