Cotton canvas navy

Cotton canvas navy

100% cotton canvas for your next DIY project A durable, tightly woven piece of cotton canvas can be used for many exciting DIY projects. Select your favourites and sew delightful storage and laundry baskets for the home, lovely bags, spacious storage bags or a cool duffel bag.   Decorate with intricate details for your very personal look.   Get out the paintbrush Use the cotton canvas as your canvas – quite literally. Stretch the fabric onto a frame, find brushes and paint, let the colours flow freely, and create a personal painting that can adorn the wall in the living room, the children's room or the holiday home. It can only turn out well!  A few more details Cotton canvas is a tightly woven, durable and hard-wearing fabric that you can use for projects requiring a robust surface.   The fabric by the metre is made of 100% cotton, has a width of 140 cm, and can be ordered by the metre. Expect it to shrink 3% upon washing.   Since cotton canvas is a heavy material, it's crucial to use the right needle and thread. We recommend either a jeans needle or a universal needle size 90 along with a robust thread. You might want to increase the stitch length to give your project a genuinely exquisite look.   What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®? OEKO-TEX® is the world's leading health label for textiles.  When the fabric by the metre is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, it's your assurance that it has been tested and approved and is free from any harmful chemicals.

When designing for outdoor living, it's important to choose a material that's strong, windproof and water-repellent. In this case, beaver nylon is a good choice. This quality is robust and durable with a water-repellent effect, making it perfect for practical, stylish outdoor clothing for both adults and children! Sew your own all-in-one suit or jacket – perhaps with a matching bucket hat that keeps the worst of the rain from your eyes. For Everything Else Or how about using the fabric for things other than clothing? For instance, create a relaxed seating area on the patio with outdoor bean bags. They're easy to move around, ensuring you always have an extra seat available. Sew a cool bag, for example, a classic gym bag with strings, a practical yoga bag, or a stylish, spacious shopper. Find inspiration among our many sewing patterns. Some Practicalities This fabric consists of 55% cotton and 45% nylon. Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Soft Merino", navy (3024)

Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Soft Merino", navy (3024)

100% extra-fine merino wool with maximum elasticitySoft Merino is spun from 100% extra-fine, natural merino wool. The yarn is not super-waxed, which preserves the original properties of the wool. This means maximum elasticity and good warmth and insulation, even when the garment is damp and wet. This gives you a unique merino yarn without any plastic coating, which protects you and the environment. Perfect for delicate knitsSoft Merino is a particularly lovely yarn for all finer knitting projects, as it has a fine texture - and is really soft. You can use this yarn for virtually all types of knitting projects and techniques; from classic patterned knitting and textured patterns to cables and lace, as well as crochet.Create the softest children's clothesDue to the yarn's particularly fine wool fibres, which give it a unique softness, we recommend it especially for baby and children's clothing - but it is also very suitable for knitting projects for adults.Tip: You can knit with Soft Merino and Little Lark using the same Dale patterns. Good to know about Soft MerinoSoft Merino can be felted, but remember that bleached white yarn cannot be felted (natural white is not bleached). The gauge indicated on the band is only a guide. Always remember to follow the gauge indicated in the pattern.Soft Merino is RWS certified. This guarantees that the wool comes from farms that ensure both sustainable land management and animal welfare, where mulesing is strictly prohibited. The RWS label thus ensures sustainable production from farm to finished yarn.
