Premium quality overlock thread in 100 % polyester, suitable for use with all overlockers. Overlock thread is slightly finer than regular sewing thread. An overlocker works differently than a sewing machine. Overlocked seams are stretchier. While an overlocker sews with one or two needles and two loopers, a sewing machine sews with an upper thread and a lower thread that lock together between the fabric layers. In overlock stitching, two threads wrap around the edge of the fabric. Essentially, overlock stitching creates a seam and binds edges at the same time. Due to the special overlocker technique and threading, overlock thread is available on 5000 m cones. Our overlock thread is OEKO-TEX 100 certified.

Light, colourful and a beautiful drape! Viscose is a popular fabric for many fashion designs. It's a light and soft material with good breathability, while also being comfortable to wear.  The beautiful drape is especially pronounced in tops, dresses, and shirts, where even with the simplest designs, you achieve a stylish look. The design is up to you: Does the shirt need a small collar? The top a boat neck? Or are you into ruched details?  That being said, viscose is also well-suited for light trousers. We prefer them with a bit of width in the legs, so you once again benefit from the lovely drape.  Choose from many stunning colours.  What is viscose? Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose, for example from wood pulp or cotton waste. It resembles natural fibres like cotton and silk.  Some practicalities The fabric is 100% viscose, is 130 cm wide, and you can of course choose the length you need. Wash at 40°C, iron at medium heat, and allow to air dry. Expect 5% shrinkage after washing.  Remember to use the right needles – we recommend using a universal needle or a microtex needle in size 70.

Or are you in the process of designing your confirmation dress but need the perfect blank fabric to bring your design to life? Party satin - or duchess satin - is a great choice: Its bright colours and elegant drape give you plenty of options for creating festive dresses, shirts, tops, bow ties, vests and trouser suits.   And if you want it all to match, you can also sew a small clutch to go with it. A little more about this satinMade from 100% polyester, this satin has a nice drape and the classic satin look in a variety of colours. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 150 grams and shrinks about 1% in the wash. You can machine wash it at 40° - remember that it should always be hang-dried and only ironed at low heat. TIP: Avoid water and water-based markers - they can leave small stains (same goes for hand cream!). Instead, use tailor's chalk to make markings. Always make a test on a small piece first, then draw on the back. And - while we're on the subject of water - never use steam on satin as it can leave water stains and the high temperature from the steam can change the lustre of the fabric. The material is long lasting and water-repellent, making it ideal for outerwear. For example, have you considered a short jacket - perhaps with a zip - or a roomy poncho that's easy to pull over your head and cosy to snuggle up in?  We also use the wool for shirts with pockets, where the heavy felted quality gives the shirt a pretty cool look.  Homespun - what is it?Homespun is a lightweight twill woven wool that has been processed with water, soap, heat and beating, then scratched up to give you a dense structure that is virtually windproof and waterproof. Originally, wadding was made from pure wool and used, for example, for work wear. Today, it is often a blended product to ensure the best possible quality. Practical InformationThis fabric is made up of 65% wool, 25% nylon and 10% polyester. It is 145 cm wide and you can choose the number of metres you need for your project. Please note that this wool is not washable. Remember to use the right needles - we recommend using universal needles when sewing with this wool. And a little tip: you can increase the stitch length to get a nice finished look.
