Embossed velvet red w christmas trees

FRAYA, 100% cotton 8/4 yarn "Colourful", red

Corduroy 21 wales red

Corduroy 21 wales red

Finest velvet for DIY!Let's just tell it like it is: Velvet has a superior surface. The very soft evenly distributed ridges repeat rigorously throughout the fabric add elegance and just the right retro feel to your project.Baby velvet is a soft woven material with short pile and 21 wales (hence the fine narrow ridges). It is a tough material that is suitable for clothing and DIY projects for the home. Using baby velvet for children's clothes - and much moreThe narrow ridges look great on children's clothes, where they really stand out. Whether it's used for trousers, jumpers, a spencer or a small suit - it's entirely up to your designs and preferences. Whatever you choose, you'll always get a great result. But baby velvet is also great for home sewing projects - from cushions to decorations and doorstops. It's a great look and fits in well with Scandinavian style. Velvet is sold by the metre, so simply order the length you need. The width is 140 cm and the fabric shrinks about 6% in the wash. Please remember to use the right needles - we recommend a size 80 universal needle. What is Wales?Wales indicates the width of the raised ridges in the velvet that defines the velvety texture of the fabric. A low Wales indicates wide ridges i.e. less ridges per inch. On the other hand, a high Wales indicates narrow ridges. For example velvet with 4 Wales per inch has wide ridges and will feel heavier, while velvet with 21 Wales per inch has narrow ridges and will feel finer. What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?OEKO-TEX® is the world-leading label for textiles tested for harmful substances.Once the fabric has achieved a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, it is your guarantee it has been tested and approved not to contain any harmful chemicals.Meaning it is neither harmful to you nor your health and it’s less harmful to the environment.

Shall we dance? Do you have a happy little gymnast, dancer, or upcoming ice-skating star at home? Then this stretch fabric is perfect when you're designing and sewing a new favourite outfit! The fabric is soft, elastic, and breathable, providing flexibility for countless pirouettes, cartwheels, and cha-cha steps. The shiny surface looks elegant, whether you're in dim lighting or on the big stage with the perfect spotlight. Great for sports This material is comfortable to wear and offers maximum freedom of movement. This means it's brilliant for all kinds of sports, so you can confidently start sewing sporty leggings and tops for your own and others' active pursuits.  And if you're more into water? Then the black variant is your go-to. It's chlorine-resistant, making it suitable for swimsuits, bikinis, and swim shorts.  And great for everything else We've covered the sporty designs, but you can also use this fabric for everyday and party wear for both adults and children. Leggings for a party, a beautifully draping skirt, or an elegant top.  The possibilities are endless – just get out the sewing machine and get started.  A bit of practicality This fabric is made of 92% polyester and 8% elastane. It measures 150 cm in width, and you can expect it to shrink by 6% when washed. Choose the length you need for your DIY project. When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, which is characterised by having a medium point – also known as ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80.

Lana Grossa, extrafine merino wool yarn "Cool Wool", red

Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Merino 22", red (2023)

Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Soft Merino", red (3021)

Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Soft Merino", red (3021)

100% extra-fine merino wool with maximum elasticitySoft Merino is spun from 100% extra-fine, natural merino wool. The yarn is not super-waxed, which preserves the original properties of the wool. This means maximum elasticity and good warmth and insulation, even when the garment is damp and wet. This gives you a unique merino yarn without any plastic coating, which protects you and the environment. Perfect for delicate knitsSoft Merino is a particularly lovely yarn for all finer knitting projects, as it has a fine texture - and is really soft. You can use this yarn for virtually all types of knitting projects and techniques; from classic patterned knitting and textured patterns to cables and lace, as well as crochet.Create the softest children's clothesDue to the yarn's particularly fine wool fibres, which give it a unique softness, we recommend it especially for baby and children's clothing - but it is also very suitable for knitting projects for adults.Tip: You can knit with Soft Merino and Little Lark using the same Dale patterns. Good to know about Soft MerinoSoft Merino can be felted, but remember that bleached white yarn cannot be felted (natural white is not bleached). The gauge indicated on the band is only a guide. Always remember to follow the gauge indicated in the pattern.Soft Merino is RWS certified. This guarantees that the wool comes from farms that ensure both sustainable land management and animal welfare, where mulesing is strictly prohibited. The RWS label thus ensures sustainable production from farm to finished yarn.
