Size: 15ml Colour(s): 6 x assorted* A great introductory set to textile painting Includes paints, accessories & instructions Water-based, opaque, all-purpose fabric paints Best used with light-coloured fabrics Washable up to 60°c (once fixed!) *please refer to Contents tab for more information Use your imagination & creativity to experiment with colours on textiles with this assorted set of 6 all-purpose fabric paints from Marabu! Water-based & easy to mix, they're ideal for stencilling, stamping or painting onto light-coloured fabrics.  This set includes a variety of 6 colours (listed in the contents tab below), along with a flat-tipped brush with synthetic bristles & a design template with detailed instructions. After settling on a design & fixing the fabric paints in place, your textiles will be washable up to 60°c, ensuring you can enjoy your very own custom designer pieces for some time! Removing finishes/pre-washing textiles Before painting, new textiles have to be washed at least once. Avoid fabric conditioners as they prevent the fibre from absorbing the paint & colour fastness after fixing can't be guaranteed. Double-layer textiles When painting double-layer textiles (t-shirts or pillow cases for instance), be sure to always place a piece of cardboard between the layers. Not only does this prevent the paint from seeping through, but it provides a stable, flat surface for easier painting. Suitable textiles Ensuring they're from finishes & detergents, Marabu textile paints can be used to paint on cotton, linen, jute, silk & mixed fabrics (with a max of 20% man-made fibres). Do not use on wool or knitwear as this cannot be fixed to be washable. Drying before fixing Painted textiles should only be fixed once the paint has fully dried. It's best to leave your work to dry overnight, if possible. Washing painted textiles Painted textiles must be washed inside out with a mild detergent. Never place a hot iron directly on the painted area, instead it's best to iron either from the reverse or through a cloth.
