Anno 2070 is the fifth part of one of the most popular economic strategies on the market. The series was born in the Sunflowers studio, which created its first two editions. The Related Design team took over the production of the 1701 and 1404 editions. The same team also took care of Anno 2070, although this time they were also helped by the people from Blue Byte, the creators of the Settlers series. The action has been moved to the near future. By 2070, climate change had drastically increased water levels, giving mankind a biblical deluge. In such a situation, it was decided to return to proven methods and, like Noah, Arks were built to ensure our species survival and enable it to rebuild its former power on those scraps of land that still protrude above the water.
