Barbara Kirkby-Mason: Puppy Dog Tunes

Barbara Kirkby-Mason (1910-2000) was a British composer, pianist and pedagogue. She studied Piano at the Royal Academy of Music before developing a succesful career as a composer, lecturer and adjudicator. She is best known for her Piano method books such as The Modern Piano Course and The Adult Beginner , and continued writing books on Piano playing and theory right into her 80s. Puppy Dog Tunes is a supplementary volume to the Very First Step series for Piano. It contains a selection of appealing tunes for beginner pianists.
