Steve Gadd A Life in Time Unsigned : Limited Edition Pack: Limited edition hardcover Book, Songbook, and Hours of Instructional Video

This limited edition pack features Gadd's hardcover book, an 82-page spiral bound transcription book, and 8+ hours of online video. With a career spanning four decades as the most in-demand recording drummer in the world, Steve Gadd is an icon of the music world whose name has become synonymous with groove and drumming greatness. As a sideman, his resume reads like a list of the most important artists of the last half-century: James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Chick Corea, Paul Simon, Al Jarreau, Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, Steely Dan, Stuff, Chuck Mangione, and hundreds of others. With an instantly identifiable feel, sound, and vocabulary, he is considered by drummers to be one of the all-time greats, and is easily one of the most copied, studied, and imitated players in drum set history. Written by Bergamini under Gadd's supervision and culled from dozens of hours of new interviews with him, A Life in Time offers a compelling look at all the aspects of Steve's career. From his rise out of Rochester into the New York studios and through his staggering body of work up to the present day, go behind the scenes at monumental recording sessions during a golden age of music in New York City and Los Angeles, and backstage with Clapton, Taylor, The Gadd Gang, and more. Features: a foreward by James Taylor; exclusive new commentary from Tony Levin, Eddie Gomez, Donald Fagen, and Gary Katz; and archival interviews with Chick Corea, Eric Clapton, Phil Ramone, and Russ Titelman add compelling detail to the story. A combination of biography, scholarly analysis, transcription book, and photo memoir, the book brings all these elements together in a beautiful package. Musicians and fans can experience the sessions that led to the creation of iconic songs and drum parts from the perspective of the people who were there. My Las Vegas : With Elvis, Sinatra, Streisand, Darin, Prima & More

My Las Vegas : With Elvis, Sinatra, Streisand, Darin, Prima & More

My Las Vegas is the incredible life story of Bobby Morris, who arrived in the U.S. from Poland at age ten, where he shined shoes and dreamed of being a drummer, and rose to become a music legend both behind the drums and in the Vegas entertainment industry. Leaving home as a teenager during the height of the Great Depression, Morris witnessed the birth of bebop coming from Harlem, and is himself credited with laying down some of the very first beats of rock n roll. Hearing about a little town out west called Las Vegas, Morris arrived there in 1950 and proceeded to carve out a niche for himself in the music and entertainment management worlds, ascending to accompanist to the greatest stars of all time: Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Eddie Fisher and dozens of others. Achieving fame as the drummer for Louis Prima's Witnesses during a golden age in Vegas, Morris eventually became the conductor and friend of Elvis Presley. He rubbed elbows with American presidents, playing the Kennedy Inauguration and befriending a young actor named Ronald Reagan. Also an important figure on the business side of the industry, Morris ran the successful Bobby Morris Agency, Inc. from his own building in downtown Las Vegas and was involved in management, booking and entertainment direction of many of the major hotels and venues on the Strip. This, his autobiography, is the inspiring and nearly unbelievable story of one man achieving his dreams and rubbing elbows with the greatest personalities of the twentieth century in the process. Also included are Bobby's tips on success in the music business, preparing for an audition, business negotiations and more.My Las Vegas is the incredible life story of Bobby Morris, who arrived in the U.S. from Poland at age ten, where he shined shoes and dreamed of being a drummer, and rose to become a music legend both behind the drums and in the Vegas entertainment industry.
