SolSeraph is a strategy game in which we play the role of Helios - the Knight of Dawn, whose task is to rebuild human civilization and protect it from the attack of younger gods, sending various threats to humanity. ACE Team studio is responsible for the game, known primarily for such titles as the absurd Rock Of Ages, The Deadly Tower of Monsters or Zeno Clash. At the beginning, Chaos reigned, but thanks to the Mother Earth and the Father of Heaven, it was possible to subdue it and replace it with the world created by it. This is how the seas, lands, vegetation, animals and people were created. After completing the work, the two concluded that their work was finished and left. However, the rest of the younger gods in the world did not like the human being, especially since he was, on the contrary, gifted with the ability to tell stories. Due to jealousy, the wicked deities sent various calamities and threats to people in the form of bloodthirsty monsters, leading to the collapse of the nascent civilization and the dispersion of individual tribes. Helios - Knight of Dawn stood up in defense of the little ones. Playing his role, we have the task of protecting humanity from jealous gods. SolSeraph offers gameplay combining several elements, however, the tower defense strategy game and the action platform game come to the fore. A similar concept was used in the iconic ActRaiser. Strategic elements seen from above (Helios is more comfortable to look at and make decisions from this perspective) are related to the expansion of settlements of five different tribes and the construction of buildings so that they repel enemy attacks and provide the inhabitants with a prosperous life. It is up to us which building is sensitive at the moment - farms that provide food or barracks that recruit new soldiers, archers, and so on. Along with the development and expansion of our pupils, we remove the magic fog from the map and reveal the lairs of monsters. Once we discover the monsters' lair, we can take matters into our own hands and go ashore to deal with the attacking creatures. This is related to the second key element of the game, when we observe the action from the side perspective. Before us are traps, dangerous creatures and their nests, and the younger gods themselves. However, Helios, thanks to his well-mastered art of sword fighting, using a shield or archery, is properly prepared for it. Especially that with each destroyed nest and each killed jealous god he grows in strength and acquires new skills.
